Introducing the sR PlatDia Weekly.

The sR BSG Weekly is a weekly tournament for players. It’ll be held at 6pm SGT and 8PM AEST on every Thursday. The award for first place would be an hour of coaching from Team Solarity. The winner of each weekly would be invited to a larger tournament, held every 4 months (as the BSG and PlatDia weekly alternates). It’ll feature the 8 winners of the sR PlatDia Weekly, battling it out for a cash prize pool!

Well, why join the sR BSG Weekly when there’s the sc2sea GPD every week?

We have a different format, less amount of players, and it’s run on a weekday! We know the sc2sea GPD is a very popular tournament and we aim to be different through having a double elimination bracket, which means you’ll play more games and verse more opponents. We’ll have a cap of 32 players, because having anymore than that would make the tournament too long because we have a loser’s bracket. We haven't included as I believe that the skill difference is too big.

We’ll post the thread on the Sunday before the tournament. We’ll link a z33k.com there you can sign up. The seeds will be randomised and since it’s a double elimination, you’ll at least play two B.O. 1 series before you would be eliminated.

Rules
• All results must be messaged in game to admins or can be updated by the players
• If your opponent is over 10 minutes late, it would be considered a walkover and would be knocked to the losers bracket, where the waiting time would be 5 minutes. Any preceding rounds, the walkover time would be 5 minutes
•Any inappropriate behavior/map hacking/smurfing/any other form of cheating will be treated very
seriously
•If a disconnect occurs within 5 minutes, it would be replayed without a question. If two disconnects occur in a row, the opponent may choose to disqualify his opponent

Hey just a quick one too.. The more information part is a little confusing as there are references to the BSG and stuff..

But it seems like your going to alternate the two tournaments, BSG one week, PD the next correct?
And then after 4 months all the winners of BSG play in a tournament and PD in another?

My only concern, is that 4 months is an eternity in starcraft, especially at BSG and PD level... Not only will the skill level be so different between those players after 4 months, but some players will probably be inactive by that stage.. You may want to have them more often, but invite the top 2 or top 4 instead? Anyway just my thoughts on it

I won't be able to play this wednesday as I have plans, but I'll make sure slugs do!

Although now that everyone knows its 1 week BSG, 1 week PD it will improve I am sure, as people can plan in advance to keep the wednesday clear to play
