The weekend of the 3-5th August saw another Auckmageddon hosted successfully. Once again SCII featured at the LAN which saw a tournament held over the three day event. As most players who registered where casual SCII players it was easy for Iris Zerg Petraeus to take out the tournament without dropping a map. The Auckmageddon title was Petraeus's first tournament victory and for his efforts he took home $1000 of Alienware gear.

A few weeks have passed since xGKing.JazBas and KnighTLighT qualified for WCS Oceania at the New Zealand WCS Finals, but finally they are heading to Sydney to play off against Australia's best. While JazBas has been considered New Zealand's best hope at Oceania, KnighT has been spending the days leading up to the finals training with team mate and fellow Terran KawaiiRice. No doubt both players will have fans, friends and family cheering them on as they are cast by the most famous of all SCII Nerdballers, Tastosis.

Tokyo Game Show Qualifiers

Those who missed out on WCS Oceania were more than pleased when SC2SEA god nirvAnA announced his successful bid to have Australia and New Zealand included in the Tokyo Game Show Qualifiers. August 18-19th will see New Zealanders battle it out with players from the Philippines for a place at the finals in Tokyo. Not only will the winner travel to Japan to compete, but also have a shot at the $3000 first place prize. xGKing's JazBas along with Iris players Another, Fresco and Petraeus
have signed up for the event, with KnighTLighT once again stepping up to represent his country of birth.
