Yeah, I've been using it non-stop lately. I love how you can discover new stuff randomly and just be like "WOW this is amazing." Normally I then proceed to pause and look up other songs from the artist on youtube.
A lot of people don't actually know how many good radio stations can be accessed through iTunes. I've found some great stuff, and a few stations that i return to frequently!
Pandora is the shiz, i highly recommend it over grooveshark etc

Been listening to it all day.... only question is how much bandwith this baby will go through. So many options and such quality tunes. Only wish we could get this on mobile... dam the USA only BS!
Pandora is pretty good, if you were wondering how it works, a simplified explanation: Each song has characteristics, it analyzes these characteristics and plays other songs that have similar characteristics. When you thumbs up a song, any characteristics it has will come up more frequently in your playing, when you thumbs down a song, the reverse effect. Over time your playlist will expand to cover more songs in your field of interest, but also narrow down your field of interest to certain characteristics.
Personally, to get the ball rolling, I found mixing two of my genres together worked quite well, for example, Dubstep and Popular Hits gives me a lot of mainstream dubstep tunes, alongside dubstep remixes of popular songs, and the occasional original pop song that has some bassy undertones.
As for bandwidth usage, I would imagine that being audio streaming, it should have a set bitrate (128kbps for example) and from there you could extrapolate the bandwidth you use in an hour? You would just have to find or figure out the bitrate that pandora plays in (This presumes its a constant bitrate and doesn't change from song to song).
Good luck everyone, and have fun experimenting with such an amazing system .
Really loving Pandora. I've got a Grooveshark with about 11 Genre playlists, but Pandora is just awesome.
So cool to just put in a song i'm enjoying listening to at any point in time, and get a shit load that have the same vibe to it.. even found a few artists i didn't know about.
question: i really like both dubstep (well more brostep) and metalcore, they dont exactly go together, should i make 2 accounts, or will it play each genre seperatly and not try and mix them?
I had a look at it when Dippa posted about it, but completely forgot about it; since I saw it again I had a much more in depth look into the site, it's great; getting some old songs that I had completely forgotten about coming up and it's doing a good job of learning my music style.
I used to use Grooveshark but then a mate referred me to Spotify. it's awesome and it's not a web app, which I prefer. Same deal though, application that streams music, however this one also finds your local library.
Not too sure why more people don't use Spotify...
