So I had a match just minutes ago. I won, though not because of skill or anything. The reason I post this thread is that at one point, I thought he had me for sure, and I just wrote gg and I was about to quit, but i thougth f*** it, it's not over 'til the fat lady sings. So anyway, I proceeded to play, you can see throughout the very short replay. And my opponent was complaining of bad manners. My question, not that I agree or disagree with my opponent for that matter. I'm rather undecided really. Is that considered BM?
Enjoy the replay, I honestly found the match to be quite hilarious. Mainly due to sheer dumb luck because I was too lazy to scout around my own base after seeing something very fishy in his.
yes, thats about as bad mannered as you can be in a online game without telling your opponent that youre gonna rape his mother, force his dad to rape his sister and then make them eat each other untill they bleed out.
I have lost to an opponent who 'GG'd after losing a battle. and started asking me questions about what he'd done wrong (so I basically just stopped macroing and was just chatting, but he was still trying to win :/
by convention saying GG (outside of a gg gl hf kind of thing) is you accepting your loss, so just don't be a dick next time, alright.
that's very bm, you should only gg if you are going to leave. Even if you think you are going to lose pull all your probes for an attack and if that fails THEN you gg
Had it happen a couple of times, usually after the gg and the decision to stay in it they come and say, 'sorry gg too early dont think im dead just yet' kinda thing. At least then you know they arent being bad mannered. These things happens, just gotta explain the situation and all shall be well.
In the past I've gg'd and realised the game wasn't over, I told the guy that I had made a mistake and wanted to keep playing quite quickly and he was fine with it. Sounds like a misunderstanding in this case but yes that is considered very very bad mannered if you don't tell them right away that the gg was a mistake.

Really wasn't aware so I thought I'd ask. I don't think I cared if someone gg'd and then didn't leave. I can see why people get annoyed, but I don't feel that it could annoy me.
For me, the game isn't over until they actually leave the game.
There is nothing more annoying when your opponent says "gg" and then wants to have a conversation with you without leaving the game first. I just keep macroing and doing my thing until they leave.
