As unlikely as it would be here knowing how many are quite big fans of the game but just in case; has anyone gone about getting a refund? I heard its possible but just curious.
I bought from here and I don't really want to cause the game is enjoyable its just not playable
Apparently the server for asia is in the same country that I reside yet best ping I saw was 400 and it felt a lot more.
Latency is just too prohibitive for me to enjoy this single player dungeon crawler
Any ideas?
Also I would give it some time to settle down a bit first, if after a month its still crap then by all means try. Ive managed to clear up to act 3 inferno with ms around 350-450 so its still playable. I agree its frustrating as **** though.
I get pretty decent ping on the asia server, like 100-150. I dont know where it's located (heard there wasnt one for sg). The NA sever is just plain bad, 350-450, EU is middle of the line. The problem for me is the routing on my isp, when it screws up only eu is *sort of* playable.
But about the refund, yes a few people have gotten it, most of the ones I see are from the ones who got the digital version from blizzard. Write them an email, and explain your situation, plus put in some stuff like this game is not for me.
There were a few people on team liquid who got refunds, I think rottenegg posted his email too..... they basically got to level 60 saw all the game had to offer, and backed out
The worst lag is jaggy lag. and it's always reserved for boss fights, and ended up dying like 3-4 times because of it . I try to vault, and nothing happens. Then I think the key was not registered I press twice out of frustration.......and sudddenly I'm flying all over the place

i play on NA cause apparently thats where I should? or at least where all my mates a playing
I got minimum 600 but regularly spikes up to 1000+
Asian server a little better as it only spikes up to 800ish
Big question is - as I bought it from Nirv - can I get the refund while nirv gets another key to sell?
Not sure how it goes with the linking to your battle.net account, and if it can be undone. I know people have received refunds directly from battle.net after explaining they don't particularly like the game, but in that case blizzard was also the retailer.

The Chad is great!
All your lag and 'net-code' rage Meatex.. I'm starting to think.. and hear me out, this is just a suggestion...
but there seems to be a commonality in all this.. Your computer and Your Internet... Maybe you need to fix/upgrade YOUR computer.. or in fact get a better Internet connection? Locus of Control brohan.. Internalise your issues and maybe the problem is coming from your end?..

If that all fails, try a VPN.
Hmm Chad does bring up some interesting points, there is a correlation between all of your problems, the problem probably is you.

this is an excellent point. If there is one thing I have learnt about bnet is that the performance of the game (regardless of having a 1000000000000 dollar computer) is affected so much by connection (both speed and latency wise).
im on optus and getting min 400 on all servers. playing with other people can shoot that out to 1000, sometimes even 1800. The computer is near new and the net is generally pretty good, but until servers in australia become affordable, I'll never expect an online game to be any decent for aussies at least. Wonder where the asia server actually is.

I don't know exactly how to go about getting a refund but I remember on the b.net forums there were threads saying how, and I remember they said you have to ask for a refund within 30 days of purchase. So if you're deadset on a refund meat you won't wanna wait a month.
I get 140 ping to NA servers at off peak time with tribes and average 200 on peak - 50 to japanese servers
Similar for dota 2, always less than 100 for nearby regions
I get 50ish on Korean SC2
70 tops on MW3
and under 200 with Guild Wars 1 on international region
Problem on my end you say?
And dox I thought you were good with language? Asking a question as to whether something is possible is exactly that - a question.
Thanks to those who aren't out to bm or troll me for no good reason
Actually what joshboy said rings a bell, under the ToS I believe you have the right of rejecting the agreement and receiving a refund in the first 30 days of purchase.
Just trying to help brohan ... you seem to be constantly complaining about these sorts of things, I assumed it was at your end?..
coolio none the less that you have baller ping to other games.
No need to challenge Dox's intelligence with Language tho, thats pretty BM.. every comment in here has added to the discussion, so I don't see what you and Baka are getting your panties in a twist for.
Finally, if you do go out and get a refund.. it'll be a refund from bnet, so nirv won't be giving you back your money - thats not in his policy. Best thing to do would be ask the 'question' to them?.. let us know how you go ;-)
Also, would you then lose your Diablo Achievement 'SEA Supporter'??! oh the dilemma!

Though cause I didn't buy direct from blizzard online store - I bought from Nirvana - im not sure if its possible ~.~;
