SC2SEA is in the process of setting up a full fledged Diablo 3 portal, complete with item databases and helpful guides for every class. As we continue to expand and include other gaming sections, we would like to give mature, well mannered and contributive members who share the same vision as us a chance to help build and develop our community further and hopefully help our new portals reach the same success of our SC2 section.
We are now looking for a "Class Head" for every specific class, who will be "in charge" of his respective class forum, basically keeping the OP well maintained and organized so its easy for our readers to get information. These Class Heads may or may not become Mods of their own class later, or Mods of our Diablo 3 portal.
Current Class Heads Demon Hunter - crAzerk Witch Doctor - Delraich (Build Orders) & ToREchoFive (General) Barbarian - ?? Monk - Bard Wizard - ToRFutureBoy
Heads of General Topics SC2SEA guild members yongming Hardcore Characters - Dox SC2SEA Battle Tags - TABottles
Check out Dox's hardcore character thread, that is what a good OP should look like from a class head.
Requirements:
Active and dedicated for the foreseeable future (2-3 months at least) in Diablo 3
Enjoys to contribute content / news posts
Well mannered and mature with a good reputation on SC2SEA
Are you active, post a lot, can't stand to see things disorganized and sometimes even make lengthly posts/guides to help others? Do you have a good reputation on sc2sea? If you answered yes to all of that you would probably be suitable. Interested applicants can PM me with the reasons why you will make a good class head, the time you have available and the class you would like to manage.
The first announced Diablo 3 Moderator was yongming, the second is crAzerk.
Moderator positions are not something you can apply for, and it usually represents the most contributive / manner members of sc2sea. Diablo 3 moderators will be given full moderator access to our Diablo 3 sub-forums and if proven to be a good match they can later make the transition into become a full moderators on SC2SEA. So if you wanna be a Diablo 3 or Dota2 mod one day, simply start by being helpful, manner and contributive and the overall transitions on the site look something like this.
Helpful forum member (Non-Mod) > Class Head (Non-Mod) > Specific Forum Mod > Full site Mod
Changes to layout (Pending)
Expect some changes to be made soon.
1) The D3 avatar should appear in the banner on top if you do a full refresh - crtl + F5. (Done)
2) There will be two big threads for each forum. One would be for "[Class] General Discussion" This will contain a list of all our SC2SEA members of that class (if they choose to be listed). It will be the place to talk about anything class specific, whine about certain stuff, and all the "low content" talk that doesn't deserve a thread of its own. Of course big news like "Wizard solos Diablo inferno" should deserve their own thread.
The second thread would be "[Class] Builds" where people can share with each other the personal builds they use. If someone puts it a lot of effort and makes a nice revolutionary detailed build, yes they can post it as their own thread instead, if not lets help keep it organised and post all the same class builds in the same thread so its easy to read and compare.
The class heads will own the "OP" of that thread and they have the important role of helping to manage these threads, updating it and making it easy for people to read.
3) As for the forum layout the MMO champion forum layout looks great (ty dox) and we will probably adpot something similar. It will still look the same on the site as all D3 forums will appear in that existing tab on the left but it will come in handy when people click on the forum index and in the long term if we need to make more forum tabs as well. I might experiment with removing all the tabs at the side, and replacing it with a latest forums at the bottom of the news posts in the center. One for SC2, one for Diablo 3 and one for MOBA games. It may be a lot neater that way.
There will be a check box in your settings to opt to see Diablo 3 news. If you opt not to, they will not be displayed and the site will look "less cluttered" with all the diablo 3 news and widgets hidden.
