SC2SEA Shop stuff

I have received word about the Diablo 3 server opening times.

Asian Server (Korea/Taiwan/HongKong/etc) : SGT 0:00 15th May, i.e 14th May Midnight
US server open time: SGT 15:00 15th May i.e (UST 0:00 15th May for ).

So it looks like even if we get it on the 15th May our time, we can only play on the Asian server untill the NA server opens the next day. This is because NA is a day behind us. Also, we now have two suppliers, one for Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand users and one for International / all other users.

Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand users: / /
Users from these countries are strictly only allowed to receive the boxed versions. This will be delivered according to our supplier's guidelines - on the evening of the 15th of May, check your PM for more details.

International users: Australia / New Zealand / United States etc
Users not from Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand will receive their game sourced from our international supplier and distribution will only be done digitally. There is a possibility these players can get their codes earlier but only the Asian server would be open at that time.

Pre-Download Diablo 3: NA Client | SG Client

Download the client in advance so you will be able to play as soon as the servers go live. Run "Diablo III Setup.exe" on 15.05.2012 and the installer will work. If you try to install the game before then you will get an error message saying your game is not able to install yet. Your game-client version does not hinder your ability to select which regional game server you can play on. I believe the difference between the NA and and SG versions are the spelling, SG, AU, etc follow the British spelling i.e colour not color.

Our SC2SEA Guild!

Members: Whoa 80 members already, awesome! A proper member page will be set up later on.
Server: The American Server will be our official server.
Guild Name: im leaning towards is D3SEA or SC2SEA. I havent decided yet!
Channel: sc2sea (lets keep our history!)
Voice server: The mumble one provided by sc2sea, we already have a D3 Channel set up!

We are in the process of setting up a full fledged Diablo 3 portal, complete with item databases and helpful guides. There will be a check box in your settings to opt to see Diablo 3 news. If you opt not to, they will not be displayed and the site will look "less cluttered" with all the diablo 3 news and widgets hidden. We are also on the look out for moderators who can help moderate and develop up our Diablo 3 portal, and hopefully play a part it one day letting it reach the same success of our SC2 section. Moderators will be given moderator access to our Diablo 3 sub-forums and if they prove to be reliable, they can later make the transition into become a full moderators on SC2SEA.

Our first Diablo 3 Moderator will be yongming.

Requirements:

1. Active and dedicated
2. Enjoys to contribute content / news posts
3. Well mannered and mature with a good reputation on SC2SEA

Interested applicants can PM me with the reasons why you will make a good moderator.

Yea but only Asia server as NA will not have opened yet. I believe blizzard scheduled the area release times around the server release

So you can only buy 1 copy of the game but play on any server? Don't want to find myself buying the wrong version of the game :P

A couple of points:

You can play in any region regardless of where you bought your copy from, BUT your characters/progression/friends won't transfer over.

The Taiwan/Europe servers do open before NA (the one we use) but we can't play on them until the game has launched in all regions. i.e. the earliest we can play on any server is 5:00PM AEST when NA servers open. You can install the game up to 16 hours before it launches.

I believe if you are Australian, your server is the American server. As such, you won't be able to play on the Asian server until the game goes live there.

New Zealand Standard Time: 7:00pm

Australian Eastern Standard Time: 5:00pm

Australian Central Standard Time: 4:30pm

Australian Western Standard Time: 3:00pm
