I am super excited to announce that I have teamed up with Perth Barcraft to announce the Perth Barcraft Star League (PBSL).
As I stated, this league will be a collabaration with myself and Barcraft, and as such, all tournaments will be branded under PBSL.

Without further ado, I am going to announce Perth's biggest Starcraft II event to date. The PBSL is really excited to announce that we are going to be hosting the PBSL#1, the prize? Just a seed to the Blizzard National Qualifiers with flights and accomodation paid for, nothing too big.

On April 4th, Blizzard Entertainment announced their extremely exciting SC2 World Championship Series and recently have announced their partners for the National Qualifiers.

• ACL Brisbane Regionals (TBA)
• ACL Sydney Regionals (TBA)
• ACL Melbourne Regionals (TBA)
• ACL Adelaide Regionals (TBA)
• ACL Melbourne Nationals (TBA)
• Perth RedFlag LAN #40 (14/6, 15/6)
• Perth Barcraft Star League #1 (6/5, 13/5, 20/5, 27/5, [TBA])
• APL Online (28/4, 6/5, 26/5)

Perth Barcraft Star League was nominated by Blizzard as a hoster for a tournament that will decide which Perth'ian will get the second Perth seed to the Blizzard National Qualifiers! In which participants will battle it out for a chance to represent Australia on an international scale!

Format

Our qualifier event will consist of:

• 4 Weekly Online Qualifiers
• Final 8 off-line Event

Prizes (Weekly Qualifier Event):
1st : Seed into the Final 8 off-line Event
2nd : Seed into the Final 8 off-line Event

Prizes (Final 8 off-line Event - $AUD):
1st : Seed into the Blizzard National Qualifiers!*
2nd : [TBA]
3rd : [TBA]

*Qualification into the Blizzard Australian National event with flight and accommodation included if required.

12:00 PM Sunday, 6th May - First Online Qualifier
12:00 PM Sunday, 13th May - Second Online Qualifier
12:00 PM Sunday, 20th May - Third Online Qualifier
12:00 PM Sunday, 27th May - Final Online Qualifier

Registration

You must have a SEA Battle.Net account and be over the age of 13* to participate. If participating, you must be able to attend the live finals which will be held in Perth.
* You must be 18 or older, or be accompanied by a parent or guarding to attend the premises for the off-line Event

Player Information and Rules

You may register to play in all of the brackets except if you have qualified already.

All games are to be played on the “SEA” Battle.net Server unless both players can come to agreement to play on NA.

For the online brackets, please be in the channel “PBSL1” to report results, and if necessary seek admin guidance.

The race you specify in registration is the race you must play throughout the tournament.

For the live finals, all maps to be played will be pre-determined.

For the live finals, depending on time and if the players are willing we may have the spectators challenge the finalists (with a suitable handicap, of course) for prizes.

If you are currently not in Diamond, Masters or GrandMaster you cannot register for the online tournament (Special Exceptions may apply)

Map Pool (Set by Blizzard)
(2) WCS_Daybreak LE: with neutral supply depots at the ramps between each player’s spawning base and natural expansion
(2) WCS_Ohana LE: with neutral supply depots at the ramps between each player’s spawning base and natural expansion
(2) WCS_Cloud Kingdom LE: with neutral supply depots at the ramps between each player’s spawning base and natural expansion
(4) WCS_Metropolis LE: with with neutral supply depots at the ramps between each player’s spawning base and natural expansion.
(4) WCS_Antiga Shipyard: cross spawns only, and normal mineral patches replacing high yield mineral patches
(4) Tal’darim Altar LE
(4) WCS_Shakuras Plateau: no close by ground spawns

Tournament Format
Online Qualifiers

• Best of 3
• Starting Map will be pre-determined by an admin
• Loser picks next map (out of the Blizzard set Map Pool)
• Any disputes should be forward onto an admin and they will be resolved as quickly as possible - replays may be needed, so make sure you save them and they are readily available

Final 8 off-line Event

• Each game will be a Best of 3, with the Grand Finals being a Best of 5
• Double Elimination
• Starting Map will be pre-determined by an admin
• Loser picks next map (out of the Blizzard set Map Pool)
• Each player will get 1 veto, in the Grand Finals, each player will get 2 vetos
• Any disputes will be resolved by an admin right then and there

We look forward to a massive turn-out for this event. This will be the first event ever in this nature to grace Perth, and we hope that everyone who enjoys watching the amazing game that is Starcraft II will dedicate their time to continuing the growth of E-Sports everywhere, but mainly Perth.
