if you are, you should take the train from Canningbridge Station to Esplanade Station (only 1 stop away) then catch Bus No. 24 to get to the place,

I'll post more tomorrow afternoon once my schedule is a little more fleshed out, but the problem is i don't finish work until 5:00PM so if someone were to pick me up, you'd probably be late to the event!

Well I can always give you a lift home if you take public transport there. Public transport may not be much slower than car at 5pm anyway.
