Hello everyone, as you may or may not know, I am the leader of mGG. The purpose of this thread is to ask both members of mGG and the community of SC2Sea, what logo we should use for our clan. For a while now, we didn't really have a logo, but at last, one of our own submitted a few example logo's.

The two best logo's from the lot, are these two:

I like the text of the second one without the outline, and maybe with a more appealing colour scheme, seems a little bland atm

Thanks for the feedback . What kind of colour scheme you thinking? What I like about these simpler ones is that they work at all resolutions. So we can still use them for small icons and the like.

Green. It makes me think green. Could be cos of the G's

I really don't like either of them, as they rely too heavily on default effects like the tilt/shadow. Also they use the StarCraft font which is generally another no-no when picking fonts for logos - it's very cliché and not immediately easy to read. Out of those two the first one is better though, but perhaps you could take the colours and bevelled effects of the letters in the 2nd one?

Need a picture of some description, I reckon. Plus a simple font, like del said, easier to read, and one with skinny G's so it's not giant ^_^

Dunno how set on these two logo's you are, but you could host a logo competition like some of the other clans did Got some really good logo's out of those ^^

If you want to keep the round part, and the tilt/shadow you could make a logo that looks something like this (this was the first ever logo I attempted, and it was for a competition held by gosucoaching - it was easy to make and pretty generic which seems like what you're after here):

Del, that thing is pretty cool, but it's just not the kinda thing I do. I like my lineart :P. I accept that I'm probably alone in that assesment .

Two others. The graphics were composed by me (it was a piece commisioned by me and I own the copyright and hereby release the graphics for use by mGGThoth and mGGCwnAnnwn for non-profit purposes in relation to promoting the clan mGG, SC2, SC2SEA.com, or other related matters so long as I recieve a courtesy notification of its use). The actual artistry was performed by WildSpiritWolf



Perhaps at some point in the future I will remember how to do that fancy blending and gradient stuff. It is rather flashy isn't it? .
