hey guys, im looking for a few dedicated practice partners, i just hit diamond and the first three games i have played , i have been getting SMASHED. instead of getting smashed on ladder, I'd rather practice some new builds and refine some old ones with some practice partners.
prefer you to have skype/ and be at least top 8 platinum +
cheers
PM me for games or add my skype:Tamachan334
Just putting this out there - you'll learn more from losing to diamonds than smashing platinums. As long as you're practising properly - analysing replays and focusing on improving your builds through looking at how players exploit the holes then fixing those holes - you'll improve. Platinums won't be able to exploit holes in your builds like higher level players will.
Even if it means dropping a division, when you're good enough to be put back up a division you'll be strong enough to hold your own. ^_^
you'll do better getting smashed imo. The problem with practice partners is that they have limited strategies and are usually too polite to cheese you.
being smashed is probably the biggest learning experience because it says OMFG THERE IS A HUGE WHOLE IN YOUR STRAT/GAMEPLAY FIX IT, the less times you get absolutely smashed the better you are getting, just keep plugging away at it and watching your replays and you'll get there
cheers guys, I just want a few practice partners so I can really see what I am doing wrong the most and communicate with the person that is smashing me.
I think my main flaw is army comp and micro where to put your army at the right time, my mechanical skill is fine imo
Haha yeah i just promoted as well, whats this i cant float 5k minerals mid game and still win. it was quite a shock to get smashed this bad at first but after you get beaten a bit you start to see the holes in your play as stated above. ToRsPook.389 (i thinki am always in the channel ToR if its wrong) gl hf !!
tbh if u just got promoted to diamond your mechanics are gonna be far below fine, generally if you macro really well and have a half decent army comp youll smash thru to mid masters atleast, really good positioning only helps a lot higher in the leagues, assuming you can a-move ur shit lol

I don't agree with this bro. Positioning matters just as much in diamond as it does in GM. You ever seen a ZvP diamond game where a badly positioned 200/200 zerg ball meets a 200/200 protoss ball?
The result is not pretty. You just get super owned. However what you said above is Your opinion and this is just mine.

I agree with kez here. At diamond level in your own personal opinion your macro may be good, however unless your mid masters level your macro is still far below standard. You can win games purely by your macro and a-moving into their base at diamond level, and if you're not your macro requires improvement.
Again, only my personal opinion, but you should focus more on macro and less on micro at your level. ^_^
I agree with Kez and Lost... Watch your replays closely and you'll see a hell of a lot of macro slip ups... I'm rank 20 diamond and I still fail macro a shitload.
if your macroing well protoss shouldnt be at 200/200 when u get to 200/200 so yeah u pretty much should be able to a-move into them except of course unless ur running into an obvious choke where 1 roach fits through at a time etc lol
I just analysed one of my replays where I stomped a protoss... The game went for 20 minutes 30 seconds... In that time I stockpiled 118 energy on my main queen, 116 on my natural queen and 108 on my third queen...
That means I missed a possible 64 larvae..... Thats the kind of shit that gets punished in masters/GM.

Yeah macro is very important but at 200/200 micro is very useful otherwise you get crushed
