deth: "This should still be a forum for SC2 in SEA, but it should distance itself from the website as much as possible."
I agree with this. inFeZa please rename it maybe SC2@SEA? It should have no affiliation with sc2sea in any way and it can be another SEA community on its own. As benji has pointed out ".. what could be posted there that couldn't be posted here?"
So it can perhaps provide an alternative community where people can do absolutely anything they wish with no rules, moderation or disciplinary actions taken when things get out of hand - which I believe was what some of these few individuals felt was needed hence the creation of this. One of the potential problems I see though is Zanooku and the heaps of accounts he will make aggressively expressing his "honest opinions" and the amount of time it would take for people to realise they were all his accounts.
There's also probably not going to be any community generated content of its own like the current SC2 reddit which is more of a quality controlled "News Feed" that links the various TL and SC2 scene happenings around the world - our case is different as the SEA scene is small enough as it is there isn't that much to cover that isn't already covered and in a more organised way by us. As for me I rather just post big news in the main SC2 reddit so other people around the world know what's going on in the SEA scene and we get more exposure.
So it will be a very different place where people can do absolutely anything they wish with no rules, moderation or disciplinary actions taken when things got out of hand - which I believe was what these few individuals wanted.
