As a , now I'm facing more Mech on ladder.

Roach infestor is a good composition to have, particularly with burrow. Transition into broodlord after this
The trick is to keep trading armies because once the terran maxes on mech.... its pretty hard to beat. Remember your force is more mobile, use this to your advantage.

Roach/baneling is ******* amazing against mech in the mid-game.

Later on you should be getting an infestor/corruptor/brood lord mix. Make sure you have enough corruptors to kill his vikings, while morphing the rest into broodlords. Getting double spire somewhere along the line to get 3/3 air upgrades is a must too.

I would think getting overlord drops would be good, as shooting down the overlords (in open field) may be a problem for mech.

Roaches/Banelings should do well enough. Get Infestors too when you can afford them.

roach/banelings do awesome against mech with a tonne of zerglings aswell after the hellions are dead.
This works out well because they are all very cheap units compared to the mech army of the terran.
This means you can out macro his army by taking early fourths and so on.

Use the immobility of their army to take out expos and search for gaps in their army.
the best time to engage is while their moving out and the tanks are not seiged. kill the tanks and hellions with banelings then rush in the lings with the backup of roaches to kill the thors and remaining army~

hope this helps~

This 100%. Obviously roach/baneling is going to suffer the more tank heavy they are, and adding muta or lings is probably going to help. But if its more of the forGG style where they open with some banshee harass and keep producing them so it's a thor/hellion mix with roach/baneeling just spore up and kill any pre-max push with roach/bane, then tech to double spire for corruptor and get 3/3. Most zergs do the corruptors, so as T when I do double armory air upgrades (after getting 2/2 on my ground mech) with 3+ starports i can beat the corruptors, take out broods near isntantly, and the banshees go to town on everything trying to kill thors.

Also, look at their unit composition. If they have lots of hellions, don't build lings. If they have lots of thors, dont build as many mutas. If they have lots of tanks, dont build as many roaches.

As a good mech player I have a nice balance of units. I substitute tanks for banshee however and get raven for pdd. I feel it works better in that composition.

If upto scratch with macro they can remax in a different composition to catch off guard, so no real composition works best against it. you need to decide based on what you see.

Its really tough if they play it well. I usually open up roaches and then make a switch into mass mutas and keep switching between them. If the thor count is low, make a lot of mutas, and then switch into roaches again. Doing this while droppen all over the place and teching into pretty fast broodlords.

if ppl are annoying like this guy then roach-hydra-baneling-infestor-broodlord. Not even kidding, any terran that gets fancy with banshees mixed in can be countered by a sprinkling of hydras, you don't even need hydra range.
