I just changed to Protoss after being Terran for the past 4 seasons. I have always been bronze as ive rarely ever got really into the game. How ever I am trying to get into it now, can anyone suggest a good Build that will work on PvX
pvz 3 gate expand is safe generally on all maps and gives you room to choose where you want to go off your 2 bases.
pvp 9 pylon 10 chrono 12 gate and chrono 14 gas 15 pylon 16 cyber 20 2nd gas (cut probes at 20 briefly and have 1 zealot stalker sentry out as you get 3 gates up to hold any 4 gate. from here its learning how to respond to whatever he is going this is obviously if you cant be certain he has made a tech building such as a robo stargate or tc. from these 3 gates id suggest going robo and learning how to bet whatever you see from the opponent as there is a way for every build from this spot. warning itl take a lot of time and frustration but there is a way.
pvt 3 gate expand or 2 gate robo depending on if you c a tech lab or maruder when u RESCOUT with your probe at about 4-5 minutes the key is to make your 2nd gate b4 the scout so then you can go either way from there id suggest if its the 2 gate robo expand go colos if 3 gate expand go templar tech both have there advantages and downfalls. warning it will take time and effort but you will get there
gl my fellow brotoss
basic safe builds for me, would be:
PvT - 3gate expand, then robo > Colo... more gates > third base.. all that stuff... When you see Vikings its good to transition into HT, you'll want Chargelots, blink and some upgrades... all that goodness..
PvP (depends on maps, on Tal Darim - 4gate).. some other maps you can do other things.. 3gate openings into Robo or Stargate are good... you'll need force fields to hold your ramp incase they 4gate you tho..
PvZ - Poo build.. XD
or FFE if/when you can, and try and time an attack to when zerg gets their 3rd base
good idea to join a clan... someone that has a team in BSG leagues so you can practice with them and work on your builds and style.. all that good stuff..
Chad, you don't have to just instantly 4 gate on Tal-Darim: I've seen a build where you get 3 gates really early, no robo no stargate no twilight, and then you use all your chrono boost on your 3 gateways to get out more units than the 4 gate. Amazing build
lol but if ur not even going to execute 1 base buidls right how to 2 base its still improving just another way u dont learn how to run before u walk bcuz thats stupid.

Just practice massing units, whatever unit they are (that'll help your macro) and then microing individual units in your army would help out. Still watch professional level play and focus more on timings as you start to get out of BSG

That sentence is whats stupid.

Shield makes a good point. Bronze players have poor macro which means IF they expand they would have no units to defend 1 base allins from most if not all bronze players. Should perfect some 1-base builds before moving up to expand. Start with easier builds such as 4 gate as a perfect 4 gate will improve both your macro, micro and multi-tasking. Once you get beyond gold, you can start doing 3-gate expands and stuff but with the same level of multi-tasking as 4 gate.
ur freaking stupid petraeus thsi sentence actually makes sense if u learn to run before u walk u will obviously be a retard that trips and die i dont even get why are u so mad stupid.
u can even do robo builds like 3 gate robo or stargate but just dont do stupid shit like 1 gate expo or 3 gate expo

4 gate should be the first build you learn, whether its against friends or on ladder, its just an easy build, after that try and get a grip on some 3-gate + tech builds, and if you're feeling confident try some Expo builds,
Shieldz had a good point about not really needing to expo in bronze, this is true to an extent, at some point you will need to learn when+ how to expand safely however, so it really depends on your playstyle, But as a general rule you will wanna be comfortable in a few 1-base builds before moving on to 2-base stuff. (Although as toss' its easier to manage multiple bases than other races imo)
Do you want to lose games and learn good strats? - play fast expand builds: 1gate, 3gate (ffe can be tricky for low level players). Things to watch out for are constant probe production, building always being active and money staying low (as low as possible, without ever queuing more than 1 thing per building at a time). If those three things are always being done and your money gets too high, expand and/or make more production buildings (~4 production buildings per base as protoss is about what you can support.
Do you want to just win games and not learn much? - 4gate (at low levels this is the main pvp build anyway)

hrmmm... if you going to 4gate.. (not that I'm recommending that...but) if you must, do it right:
Too many people say, 4gate... well thats when you get 4gates off 1 base and own face... right?
no.
Follow this TL build if your going to do it: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/4_Warpgate_Rush
take note; 20 probes, 10/18 crono, 12 gate... constant probe production all that.. and the proxy, personally I feel the first Proxy should be hidden.. then next few can be right up in their grill if you're ahead..
Then what happens if it dies and you have to pull back? - more probes.. then try and expand and get the right tech to defend.. because your expanding late you'll probably need to squeeze in cannons where you can...?
Outside of 4gating; I think it would be a great idea to learn some 3gate expo builds then FE builds... 1gate FE is good sometimes too.. and of course.. PvZ Forge Fast Expand (FFE) on maps that you can.. but be mindful for roach/ling all in builds... If the zerg 2 base all ins you, you'll need 3+ cannons and gateway units to hold it.
But the one unit that got me out of gold.. Sentries, learn to use them effectively and you'll be on your way to Silver..

Woah Shieldz... t'was only a joke ):
I'm sorry if it came across as offensive.
Sigh* thats the second comment that PiG has taken badly.. Doesn't look like our friendship is off to a good start.
for pvz, you might want to learn how to fast forge expand on the maps which allow for an easy wallin and transition into a 6/7 gate all-in on +1 attack timing^^
i used 3 gate robo to get myself into platinum vs all 3 races, but on pvz i would recommend a forge fast expand or 3 gate expand to help you out even more
personally ive been having some trouble against zerg lately since the new stephano style came out, but here are some of the builds I try.
1.Forge fast expand into lots of sentries with stalker/immortal and zealots.
2.3 gate robo again a unit composition of lots of sentries (roughly 5-8) zealot/stalker/immortals.
and to be honest i generally stick with those strats against zerg. Of course you can always try a 4 gate push to take advantage of a greedy zerg.
I hope this helped a lil, again if you want the details of these builds they are ALL over youtube.
I would like to introduce you to the concept of necroing.
