Welcome to the 25th Gold, Platinum and Diamond Weekly Open!

The event shall be a 128 player competition. It will be a single elimination style tournament.

Details

Date: Sunday, 2nd of October, 2011.
Time: 4pm SGT, 7pm AEST
Location: SEA Battle.net region.
Tournament Eligibility: You must be in the Gold, Platinum or Diamond league (1v1 - SEA license). If you were previously in Masters at the conclusion of season 1/2, you are ineligible.

Prizes: The winner of the GPD Open will take home the $10 first prize
The top 8 players from this event shall qualify for the Masters Cup on 23/10/11 and the chance to win the min $75 1st prize, $20 2nd, and $10 3rd for that event. Wildcard qualifying spots may also be given for impressive play outside of the top 8.

Rules and Regulations

· All results must be PMed to BioGenie.615 in-game.
· Players who are 15 or more minutes late will be disqualified, their opponent will be given an automatic win.
· If any disconnects occur within the first two minutes of game-play, the match will be replayed. However if the disconnect occurs after two minutes of game-time, then it is up to the discretion of the referee to decide whether; A) the game is to be replayed, or B) player X/Y is to be awarded the win.
· Any disputes will be handled by the GPD admins after reviewing all associated replays.
· Any inappropriate behaviour will result in a disqualification.
· Players must have their own Sea account, playing on a friends is not allowed
. You are allowed to switch races
. No late replacements.

Map List

The first map of each round is pre-determined and outlined in the following list. The losing player will decide the subsequent map. The map pool is as follows:

Ro64: Tal'Darim Altar LE (B01 no 2nd game)
Ro32: Nerazim Crypt (B01 no 2nd game)
Ro16: Typhon Peaks(B01 no 2nd game)
Ro8: Shakuras Plateau (B03)
Semi-Finals: GSL Terminus SE (B03)
Finals: GSTL GSL Dual Sight (B05)

Loser can pick from any the following maps:

Xel'Naga Caverns, Metalopolis, Shakuras Plateau, Typhon Peaks, The Shattered Temple, Tal'Darim Altar LE, Nerazim Crypt, Abyssal Caverns, Antiga Shipyard

For B03 and B05 each player can have 1 veto

Daylight saving comes into effect for a couple of Australian states today, so just a reminder that it will be 4pm SG start, which is now 3 hrs behind aedt i believe. Next week it shall probably go back to 6pm aedt time, which would be 3pm SG.

Congratulations to Dohwee on winning the 25th GPD Weekly Open! Dohwee (T) beat Dixzor (T) 3-2 in an entertaining series.

Dohwee has finished runners up in two previous GPDs, so it's nice to see him go one step further and claim the title. Final Brackets.
