Season 2 is coming! I am taking signups from BSG clans or existing clans that can produce an all-BSG roster. With the excitement and success of the first season, how can we NOT have a second. It's with great pleasure the BSGCL admins bring this experience to lower league players, to enjoy a fully fledged clan war tournament without the daunting task of facing up to masters level players.
If you think your clan has what it takes and want to represent your team read on to see how to apply!
1. Play Nights:
The default play night is going to be Thursday nights @ 8pm AEST but teams have until the following Wednesday to play their match if they can't make the default night. This is gonna be tougher to admin, but we love you BSG'ers and want to make sure there are little to no walk overs this season due to not being able to make certain nights. This will require more organization from team managers, but I'm sure they'd rather play than just straight up lose points. The lines of communication between players and admins are completely open, so don't hesitate to ask questions and submit which nights your team can play if not on the default play night so that an admin can attend. Thursday night games will be the only games that have a chance to be casted on stream, and the casters will chose the games. No show Thursday night? Guaranteed no cast!
2. Player Order:
The first two players to go out MUST be Bronze or Silver . Yes that's right. No more all Gold teams. Teams are still a minimum of 5 and maximum of 12. It's recommended to have more than one Bronze and Silver player in case those players need a reserve.
3. Minor Format Change:
GSTL Format was voted to be the favourite format by far, so we're keeping it! The only change this season is that there are no groups. Every clan will play every other clan in a round robin. Fixtures will be decided once sign ups are closed. The top 4 clans who have the most wins (and in the case of a tie, most individual games won) proceed to the finals to play preliminary finals.
4. Promotion Rules
At the moment the current rule is the same as the old one. If you're promoted from your league after the season commences, you still count as the particular league you signed up with, but not if you're promoted 2 leagues above.
For instance, someone signs up as a Gold , but gets promoted to in a new season. All good! We have you on the sign up page as a Gold , this thread will be proof of what league everyone was on sign up. If you're promoted to Diamond however, you can't play anymore and need to be replaced.
Same will go for the play order rule. If you're Silver , and you are one of the guys who would normally open but are promoted to Gold (and the team has no replacement Silver players) then we will be lenient and allow you to open as you were Silver on sign up. However, if you're promoted all the way Platinum from Silver then you can't be an opener anymore and your team needs to find a new opener to go with their other Silver or Bronze player.
Keep in mind that if you are promoted to Platinum , congratulations! You can now play in Erasmus' PDCL! ... But you won't be invited to the BSGCL All Stars tournament even if you did kick ass
Current Season Information:
GSTL format (all-kill, 4 players)
Length of the event will depend on the number of signups.
Tournament structure will involve a round-robin league stage and a playoff final stage.
Playdays will be negotiated between teams (ensure your players are free).
Default play night is Thursday night. Showing up on Thursday night is the only chance to get your games casted!
If teams cannot agree on a time, default times will be set on weeknights or Saturday by staff.
Prize: The winning team recieves a clan logo.
The best players (based on stats) from BSGCL Season 2 will be invited to an all stars 1v1 tournament after Season 2 ends for cash prizes. So rack up those wins!
SIGN UPS ARE CLOSED!

If you prefer, you can use the forum flag and race icons to post your roster and if you don't know some of the character codes you can sign the player up now without it and fill it in later. A roster MUST include AT LEAST 2 Silver OR Bronze players with a minimum team size of 5, maximum of 12.

So far the head admins are Maynarde#489, ToRSynzita#319 and TAEdarus#427 but more may be announced.
So far streaming of games is based on volunteers and not every round or match is guaranteed a stream.
The prize is a clan logo thanks to TCPmagik. Once the finalists are determined from league play it is the clan leader's responsibility to discuss creative decisions with myself or magik regarding their possible clan logo.
can i join a bsg clan even though i am already in a clan? since i am not sure if my clan can produce a roster for the event?
To clarify on Maynarde's original response, we WILL be making a team (or two if interest is large enough) for unclanned players to participate.
Obviously, being in a clan will have better / easier organisational aspects and you can't quite have a clan logo for clan "blank" so you lose some benefits, but we're trying to make this event as accessible as possible for the community.
DO NOT sign up as an unclanned player IF you are unable to commit to keeping in contact with your team.
They will NEED to contact you incase of matchup day/time issues to get them sorted. ANY unclanned team member who does not make a week without contact (or a later provided good reason) will be removed for the remainder of the season so they do not drag their team down due to slackness.
On that note, anyone clanless who wants to sign up, please sign up as an individual clearly stating you are clanless so we can work out who we have and how many clanless teams we can post, if any at all.
GLHF!

Are you missing the BSG (Bronze Silver Gold)? I'm pretty sure all of us who used to compete do.
To a sad ending the BSG ended in season 3...but.... no longer fear,LOSchniztel (895) and BitterCold (939) have started up the saturday night fun again!
To this end, for any player who does not like the team league type events and wants their solo glory, being successful in a BSGCL Event unlocks access to a BSGCL All-Stars 1v1 event for ultimate glory and some of my money.
2. Player Order:
Bronzies go out first. Silvers go out second. Yes that's right. No more all Gold teams. This season teams are forced to have AT LEAST one bronze and one silver in their team because the first two players to go out are going to be bronze and silver respectively. Teams are still a minimum of 5 and maximum of 12. It's recommended to have more than one bronze and silver player in case those players need a reserve.
I think that sending bronze then silver then gold etc is a pretty bad way of doing it.
Make it so you have to send out atleast 1 bronze and atleast 1/2 silvers.
Hey man, what do you mean? Do you mean not force bronzies / silvers out first but make sure they're part of the team? Or do you mean just have more silver players in each team?
Bronze then silver is a bit harsh. We only have one bronze player who is in a position to play - if he can't make it or gets promoted then we're boned.
How about the first two players have to be either bronze or silver?

Reason: I'm an idiot
And what if a gold all kills? It means that team has better players, this rule is stupid. If you are going to make a rule like that make it what whiplash suggested.
