So, my friend and I played a 1v1 on Tal'darim Altar. Its a TvZ and naturally, I go mech. He goes ultras, infestors, mutas, lings. He loses my Doom Push and I obliterate his main.
What does he do? He scatters his drones and builds hatcheries everywhere even though he knows he has lings to defend. It drags on till he has roaches and I'm exhausted so I gg out.
I'm just wondering if its totally ok for a Zerg player to do this or is it really BM?

People can do whatever they want in a 1v1 man, don't understand how you can lose to it if your doom push kills his main? Would love to see the replay, something seriously wrong has happened there.
Making hatcheries when you're dead can be considered bm, but he obviously wasn't if he came back and won. Please upload rep, help us help you
How do you get exhausted.. If you kill his whole main, your apm should drop from 140 to 10. Then just A -attack random bunches of units everywhere across the map. It is wrong to lose like that. -_-

I kept my army together just incase he had like some crazy reserve. Knowing zerg players, that's a possibility. Next time, I'll just send all my units to all the different base locations.
And yes, you get tired after you defend a zergling wave attack cause there's a hole in the wall, a wave of mutas harrassing you, 3 infestor hit squad (never did manage to kill em) and blasting away a large zerg army.
I guess its mostly my fault for not having units at each base location :/
@Maynarde: I'm to ashamed to upload it cause its suppose to be an easy win after the doom push It might just be I've been playing to many Silver league Z players who gg once the doom push has reach the gates of their main.

Reason: adding more information
If it's a custom (sounded like it), it's no big deal, you know you've won. The problem lies with you not following through. Just like a good golf swing or a tennis or squash swing, following through is important.
1) You obliterated his main means he's pretty much gone. I'm assuming you got his tech structures.
2) At that point, you should be ahead. Since you killed his main army and his main. You should have sent units to every location for possible expos, or just scanned.
3) If it was on ladder and he made a comeback because of that, then it was pretty much you losing the game and not him winning (read: your fault).
You're complaining about this?? Your game pales in comparison to some TvTs I see.... LOL! Those games go on forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And this is after one terran's main has been destroyed. Comeback galore.... uugghh... Anyway, my point is if you're playing Terran, you'll have to get used to these kind of long games because you're going to get TvTs and they just go on forever. You'll get epic base trades with CCs floating around and random scvs all around the map, your army trying to find his buildings or intercept his army... Oh god.... That TvZ of yours is nothing compared to the TvTs going around. You just need to work on your patience. Terran players are meant to have an inexhaustible amount of patience. Zerg players on the other hand, heh heh heh...
While technically your opponent wins, it doesn't really matter if it's against a friend (custom), because as people above have said before, you know that you have won, and he is just fooling himself into believing that he beat you that game.
Of course, if it is on ladder, regardless of whether you have truly "lost", your points still get deducted so it matters then.
It be a custom game. If that happened on a ladder, I'd be so embarrassed, I wouldn't put it up :P
@pikkOn: forever? my TvT lasts an average of 30minutes (unless that's forever, that I believe is late game). By then, we both have BC though, I'm starting to just mass vikings once we reach the 25 minute mark, especially if he/she opens with Banshee. I've had a floater once in Bronze and couldn't care cause I just took my time, denied him every expansion possible and blasted him to bits and the only reason I managed that was cause he has to hide his CC in a corner and/or hard to miss. Drones whereas are really sneaky bastards.
But meh, I'm a Silver Leaguer so what do I know about Sc2? :/

Reason: wrong info lol
I once proxied a terran on scrap station, killed all his army and part of main, but he flew over to the island, built 3-4 banshees with cloak (I had only zealots and some cannons), and started the bs banshee harass. It took me a lot of time to get rid of his banshees, while he re-established his main and even expanded to gold. I made a warp prism to attack his island, but he had like 10 marines there to defend. I made phoenix and voidrays, but he put over 9000 turrets. All that time I've been on 2 bases. When i put together some colossi and stalkers, he already had an MMMG deathball, and I lost. Was so sad(

Its only BM when they have no chance of winning and are doing it to keep the game running.
Just fleshing that out, i think a key indicator is if there are no expansions left. If there's multiple mineral patches around and they're trying to take a base to get back into the game, no BM!
Did you still have your base left? You could still churn out units?
This is a legitimate strategy. Sucks to be on the receiving end, but comebacks are possible if there has been a base trade. If there has not been a base trade and he gets you to gg out, then he won, plain and simple.
Next time you get a game like this where you have obviously won, but it is getting dragged out, just grind him into the ground. Take an expansion, macro up and cover the map in your units. Eventually you'll find all of his bases and drones and you can finish him off. If you can still produce units at a decent rate, he'll never catch up, you just gotta keep on going. The mistake that is easy to make is to think that you have more units so you just go search and destroy and forget about replacing units while you are doing this.
Fullstop and Maynarde give some good advice. Take what you can learn from this match and use it to play better next time, but do not beat yourself up too much. Everyone has a game like this at some point. It is up to you to make sure it does not happen again.
