Hey all,

I used to play zerg and was able to find a whole cavalcade of game casters who were more zerg based and were actually rather funny and entertaining (eg. psystarcraft, HD, day 9 (but i guess he's more random player now)).

However I'm playing more terran now and looking for more terran casters? Which ones do you watch? I think game analysis sure its important, but making it entertaining, that's all gravy!!!

Think also, someday I'll play protoss as well, any good casters out there?

Well I like watching ForceSc2Strategy for Terran tips. I think he's reallly good at terran strategies over the other races he does. But that's just my opinion. And even if he's not a caster who's more biased on one race, I think he does a decent job at Terran

I was joking on a cast that all "good" casters are zergs, which was basically just self-praise for myself. But seriously, if you look at Artosis, Day9 (prefers zerg, since SC1), HD, Psy and a bunch of high profile casters, they are all zergs (with the except of Husky and Tasteless that plays Toss)

Its nothing race-related I'm sure. As SC2 grows and there are more casters, it'll balance out ^^

artosis isn't zerg he switched to protoss, and he was terran in sc1- just sayin'

Recently qxc has done some casting for GSL which I've found kind of fun :P

Torch has been a very insightful caster for the GSL recently and he's terran ^_^.

TorcH is ******* stellar, loved that guy since his cameo in Open Season 2 or whatever it was, wish he'd do more than what he is now. TLO is decent. Day9 is amazing. Tasteless and Artosis are the greatest. Wolf is average, but I don't dislike listening to him. IdrA shares knowledge where he lacks in enthusiasm. Diggity is fantastic too. Depending on who he's teamed up with, Rotterdam can be pretty awesome too. The IEM caster line-up was so nice. Even Vin Dies--err, Khaldor is awesome to listen to and he's speaking German 99% of the time.

There's also this guy named Unstable, you guys probably haven't heard of him, but he's pretty good too.

Cannot stand listening to: HD, Husky, PainUser, Gretorp, InControl, TotalBiscuit, DJWheat, dApollo, JP.

And dear god, Moletrap is the worst speaker (letalone commentator) I've ever had the displeasure of listening to.

EDIT: As per my reply to Benji below, I don't mean to disrespect any of these commentators. The service they generously provide to the community is paramount, but their styles and tones simply don't appeal to me as a listener. It's not like I hate them or anything.

Of course, TorcH is amazing. I agree Dox, especially with Gretorp and dApollo... I can't stand dApollo.

I think my most disliked caster of all time was gun run on GSL... I think those casts gave me cancer

I appreciate everything he's done over the centuries (heh), but his tone just doesn't flow nicely for me.

Fortunately he's usually teamed with someone I really like, so as long as he allows them to lead, I can handle him. He's nowhere near as bad as Moletrap or Gretorp. If I had to rank him on a list, he'd be just beneath Wolf.

I'm just joking obv, I must say I do enjoy djWHEAT's casts, they're relaxed and enjoyable, even some subtle humour in there that doesn't come across forced (like 90% of casters). I don't listen to casters to get super analysis from the best players that can predict the game 8 minutes ahead of time, I just want to chill and be entertained.

i reckon that'd be fun to listen to him and his german accent! what better way is there to listen to sc2 analysis?
Actually on that note, are there any korean casters? :P coz if they are able to learn to cast in english, maybe there's hope for me to learn to be more korean so i can play better!

Last time I saw him cast something was IEM. Was a few months ago, not sure what he's up to right now but I think I saw him playing at the HomeStory Cup 3. Not sure if it was part of the competition or just mucking around I wasn't following too closely but definitely saw him playing.

He's supposed to be taking a break from playing due to his Carpel Tunnel wrist injury. So hopefully we'll start to see more casting from him.

i can only watch casters that have zerg-knowledge equal to or above normal NA GM level. anything under and i get too bored.
