Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone here knows of any friendly SC2 IRC channels to hang out in. Prefer something on the small to medium size as larger channels like #TeamLiquid move pretty fast due to the amount of people in there.

Noticed the chatbox on the main page. Is that what you're talking about or do you guys also have an irc channel going?

yea thats all we have atm, figured it will be easier for pple to use since they are on the site anyway and dont have to dl / install an irc client or use another window for a web based version of irc. i guess it has its limitations as well but ours is still a small community and i think this suits us fine for now! anyway would listen to feedback and consider.

I idle in a starcraft channel for a different community, I'd be happy to idle in sc2sea's irc if you guys set one up!

Most of the starcraft community are on quake net.

I'd be so down to hang out in an SC2SEA IRC channel. I think quite a few people would be actually. Maybe that's something to look into?

Well I think there is a man, we shall call him UncleFom who doesn't have access to the IRC because of some technical ban issue and would love if my good friend UncleFom *wink wink* could use the chat to improve the community with his wonderful presence.

Only thing I'd be worried about with a sc2sea irc channel is dividing the community. I don't mind using the current chatbox, and was just curious as to whether there were any other SEA communities out there on IRC.

I am so glad to see this, I idle in #teamliquid on quakenet and have been thinking of creating a channel for SEA players, simply because i am in the market for peeps to practice with and i am sure/hopeful that there are plenty of other peeps looking for something similar.

So before I go ahead and create the channel, what do you guys think about quakenet as the server?
