Hey guys, i've been laddering quite alot these days on SEA and im just a high platinum, but do any of you seem to notice this huge amount of zerg players on the ladder? In the platinum/diamond leagues its just been constant nonstop v Zergs. It can be quite frustrating as well because more zergs means more ZvZ's for those zerg players.

And any ideas on why theres so many zergs nowadays? I can hardly play a TvT or TvP anymore :P

Back when the Infestor buff came out, I noticed a lot of zergs. But then about a week later it died off. Now it's all pretty even, and I'm Plat as well.

I noticed a lot more protoss though nowadays. I had like 5 ZvP in 6 matches once. Though, at one point I had loads more ZvZ when I was horrible in it. :P

I ladder on NA now, so I can't say for sure what it is right now for me but definitely last season in high Diamond I was being matched against a fairly high number of Zergs.

ZvZ is one of my better matchups, though (or at least, the matchup I understand the best), so I'm afraid I don't share the apparent 'frustration' most people have.

On EU, I feel like everyone is protoss now. 2nd week in a row, I have 50% pvp at least. On Friday, i played 13 games, 11 were pvp. Terrans are extremely rare. I feel like I face random more than T these days.

I get too many ZvZs, especially when I play on NA at around 1 am my time. Its almost always zvz

yeah ive been noticing a LOT of ps and zs lately, i like never verse terran which is bad since zvt is my fav/best matchup lol, and i think theres a lot of zergs at plat/dia because its a harder race so it gets skewed towards lower end if u get what i mean.

Yeah I've noticed this too, there are a lot of zergs on this server, especially when compared to the NA server. I dont mind that at all, especially after 5 PvPs on the u.s ladder.

I've faced a lot of zerg players on SEA. Most of the time it would be two or more Zergs for every Protoss/Terran. Before and after the infestor buff. ZvZ SEAvSEA

agreed. I'm 900 point diamond with 50-60% WR and I face Zergs/Protoss predominantly.

I agree with Baka, there are heaps of Toss. Ever since the Charging Zealot buff, i've noticed a lot more toss. And now a commons strategy I'm getting raped by is dt rush into Blink stalkers :/ and charging zealots....

They get at least 1 hit in while charging. I don't see why people would switch because of that, it's not a very big buff, but i have noticed people get chargelots more often now. Used to be completely ignored.

The massive amount of Zerg players is in wake of mOOnGLaDe's writeup in the TGM

. But seriously, When playing on NA I had 6 ZvZ's in a row, and recently I have been facing a large majority of Zergs on SEA. Perhaps its just the luck of the draw at the moment. As Nofan showed in his link, Zerg is still the least represented race ( apart from random) of the trio.

I haven't played any Protoss in my last 10 games. I'm seeing about 50/50 Zerg and Terran.

Before the patch, it was 60% vP and the rest was Terran. vOv
