If you haven't read it here it is.

Now that you have read it I was wondering if people were interested in a BSG and PD SoO.
If you are interested post here and let me know, depending on numbers which I am very unsure of we may have a B team as well but we shall see...

If you feel as though you wish to participate let me know and I will add you to that states roster, for the moment first in best dressed seems likes the most logical way unless this is way more popular than I anticipate.

I really do like Infeza, however he is a masters level player, despite his random being diamond level. This would make him ineligible, because despite however small the chance is, there is a chance that he'll get protoss a few times in a row and take out the top players of some of the teams.

Not sure if this is a little biased considering i'm on one of the teams, but there is a masters/gm level of this. Pretty sure they're doing a 1st and second team thingo as well.

The only reason there isn't a Tasmanian team in the master's state of origin is that del doesn't consider there to be any players at moonglade-tier.

No reason for there not to be a BSG team if you can find the players.

Format will be whatever deL decides, probably run off the same format as the old brood war days or something. I would say we won't change the format because it'll get too confusing if there are two similar competitions running with separate formats

Assuming the format is 5v5 proleague or bo7 allkill then you will want teams of at least 10 players. There will always be players who can't make it on the night and you want teams to have some flexibility in who they play rather than being the same lineup every time. Also helps to have some redundancy in case of promotions to masters.

States that are struggling for volunteers should look to actively recruiting in existing starcraft communities in your state; barcrafts, lans, university sc clubs, city bnet chat channels or just doing a member search here for major cities

I am not sure yet but it will follow the exact same format as deL decides for the real SoO.

Only because there isnt anyone to field an A or B team in the top tier, if there is enough PD or BSG from tassy they shouldn't be excluded from an Aus wide tourny.

Uhhh.... New Zealand isn't a state of Australia, and as discussed in the other thread, this is a purely Australian based competition. It increases the rivalry. There's nation wars for everyone. This is an Aussie comp.

If there isn't enough TAS people (which I think there is) we could just tie it in with VIC, the two generally get bunched up together in other things.

Going of the numbers that we have it's more the mainland states that are having troubles getting people.

the only way these leagues can be run effectively is to have people's league at the start of the season (or when they join, if you let people join half way through) be their league as far as the rules are concerned until the season is over.

Zealo's correct here. When the league starts, your current ladder league will be the league for you no matter if you get promoted or demoted throughout the season. However as this is only an interest thread, if you get promoted before it starts, then you won't be able to compete.

I'm keen to play for SA. I'm Gold on SEA, and plat on NA, but i haven't laddered on NA in like 2 seasons now. Can't quite get out of Gold on SEA yet, so put me wherever is appropriate

Well I think he wants to start start of june, and if thats the case we should get organizing - format, rules, finalizing teams etc. I think first thing is to set up a skype group with all the admins/captains and go from there, that way we can have a place to talk about what everyone thinks about the rules etc.
