Roz wasn't raging at Benji for Jaz being drunk. There were many incidents before this that accumulated to his hatred yo, ever since SEACL. I don't think I'd need to elaborate too much on it, I think both teams already know that.

Xeria - understandably your a bit upset with the result and have been the team to beat all season. two 2nd places are bound to well up a bit of frustration.

That being said - I think it would be best to drop it - congrats to both teams, well played!! Looking forward to next season! - while I love the rivalries, lets keep it civilised.

As much as I didn't like what happened, when the game ended i still said gg and everything and dropped it. So if what Benji said about Eve and ToT caught so much backlash, is it so wrong in this scenario for people like myself and the rest of the usually tame Xeria boys to get worked up? In high school, when some random tries to join our closed group, we usually ask them to "RING-OUT" of our circle. & yes, members of the circle are also associated with another circle (injoke for those who partied with me at goldcoast).

Let me summarise what happened from my perspective before this thread gets locked. I will try to be as least bias as possible.

1~Infi joins SEACL and SEACC on coniditon that admins accomodate them (though not mentioning to what extent)for their trimmed roster.
2~Infi cannot play the games vs xeria gaming, asks for reschedule, benji takes the forfeit, (benji very vocal about strict rulings all along) infi demonstrate hate publicly to Benji.
3-Infi and xeria both makes SEACC finals. No previous BOx rules for finals were set. Admins and fans wanted BO9, to be more exciting. Infi prefers BO7 due to roster/schedule issues. Xeria prefered BO9 because they felt they had a deeper roster. Admins decision note: infi willing to accept BO9 with Revival, benji refuses as per preference to BO9
4-Admins decide BO9, Roz enters chatbox, vocal abt his displeasure with such decision. Makes it known to many (including myself) that Infi can only field 4 players. Xeria prefers BO9 but dont want a free 1-0 lead.
5-Admins change to BO7, No complaints from xeria.
5.5 -xeria vs wayi spider show match, revival instilled, roz lets it known in thread of benjis double-standards
6-Finals night, Jazbas late/drunk,iaguz starts instead, admin gave Infi decision to choose another player, infi voices displeasure of this decision
7-Infi wins with Targa scoring an impressive all kill
8-All sides well mannered and cool
9a-Iceiceice/Targa attempts to troll Revenant (also possibly to spite Benji and get some rises out of people, will not be presumptiously conclusive here), leaking image of private chatlog which contains offensive material to xeria . Iaguz responds with some displeasure.
9b-Detective Mafia suggests through his findings that infijokes(infi 5th player) was plenty available on Finals night, publicly asks clarification, Roz tells mafia to not be presumptious/sore loser, does not clarify situation.
10-xgKingLight reads leaked private chat, very vocal in forum about offensiveness of such material
11-Rev ensures its just trolling, Light decides to relax and move on, as do rest of xgking. everything seems to have come to an end...

I have no much comment on the drama as I don't have all the keys to understand all what happened between both teams since that initial "forfeit taken".

But since the first post of Mafia this point intrigues me. If this is true, it seems to me that this would be serious enough to have an answer. Why would Infi has 5 players available and only shows the best 4 of them ?

In the SEACC thread the format was indicated as Bo7. xG proposed it to be Bo9 because it's better for the show (thing that i agree). However, inFi being in final also has their right to give their opinion. The fact that they don't want the final to be Bo9 is 100% legit. It was not written in the thread that final would be Bo9 so why would we change the format after competition started.

I believe the majority wanted Bo9, however, if it's not stated in the thread it's not fair to change rules half-way. The exact same thing happened when i wanted to put play-offs after week 4 and xG was the only team to refuse claiming it was not fair for them as the thread was stating no play-offs for all league (fair point once again).

We can change rules/format half-way only if all parties agree, which was clearly not the case for the format final and the play-offs.

So in terms of fairness, the final of SEACC had to be Bo7. I don't want further polemics on that particular point.

The finals format was not decided/stated anywhere until 2 days before finals. AFAIK admins wanted bo9 viewers wanted bo9, the only person who wanted bo7 was Roz.

We didn't propose BO9, we prefered it. There was no written rule stating whether it was going to be BO9 or BO7, it only stated GSTL All-Kill format, so such could be up to various interpretations. I was under the impression that it was originally planned to be a BO9, for more excitement or whatever, but to accomodate for INfi admins propsed for a BO7 or a BO9 revival after the semifinals, which we didnt prefer for absolute strategic reasonings. IT WAS actually decided it was going to be BO9 before 15th of March. However, upon Roz vocally demonstrating his displeasure on the forums and repeatedly mentioning they could only field 4 or less players, it was later changed to a BO7 afterwards.

I don't know the exact reasoning or whatever behind all the changes and think alot of the drama could be avoided if written rules were stated and Infi were given an actual extent to which they could be accomodated by.

I think Crazerk was the one most involved with this drama, if he could step up and clarify things, that wold be pretty cool too.

EDIT: I believe the last deicison were made by admins because of http://www.sc2sea.com/showthread.php...ht=SEACC+rules which fits into what Frogmite was saying a few posts above.

My only issue is, if Infi could indeed field 5 players that night, myself and others are going to feel lied to and obviously have a word or two to complain about. This does not cause for a "you sore losers" response. I'm not going to presume anything because I don't pretend to know whats going on in Infi private shcheduling, but I think a clarification in this case wouldn't hurt at all.

Whether it was Bo7 or Bo9 really doesn't effect me personally that much, it was just the fact that alot of ruccus went through when it was initially decided Bo9, things were said that now appear not to be true, and when we question it we get told to not to be sore losers and suck it up, who would appreciate that?

Like honestly I love all you guys but it's not just past the point of hypocrisy but well into territory of complete idiocy.

Many things were said and myself and others came away with the conclusion that Infi could only field 4 players on the day so we would rather Bo7 then take a 1-0 lead for nothing. It was a huge ruccus that had an overwhelming effect on whether it was going to be Bo9 or Bo7. We lost fair and square to Targa and we aren't bringing it up as some kind of an excuse. The only thing that annoyed me is that it is a legit question that Mafia asked, yet what he got was just "don't be a sore loser".

I don't have any idea what went about SEACL playoffs whatever, but I think you are getting the wrong message that I am trying to send here. Noone is claiming inFi did anything unfair nor do I really give a damn the finals was a Bo7 instead of a Bo9, I just don't fcuking appreciate mafia being treated like that for asking legitimate questions (that still hasn't been answered).

oh yea actually crAzerk whos the head admin hadn't made his decision yet. so i tried to mediate the situation in the hope both teams could reach an agreement by offering that proposal - so it didn't have to come to "it wasnt written down in the rules". as u know that didnt work

frogmite's post sums it up best and the decision crAzerk and the admins finally came to, it was quite a long discussion we had with JoFritZ weighing in too wanting it to be bo7 like the admins did.

Just to clarify, we aren't really trying to focus too much on the actual Bo7 and Bo9 stuff, we've accepted the Bo7 and made no issues about it. Despite the constants posts debating the actual intricacies involved - it is just for clarity's sake.

Nirvana's post summarises the BoX issue pretty well, I don't think theres a point in debating further then that.

The real problem we have is the behaviour of someone in particular about it:

Missed Signals from admins, unsure if Bo9 or Bo7.
Xeria prefer Bo9, Infi prefer Bo7.
Admins deicde Bo9.
Roz goes nutcase on the chatbox - saying can only field 4 players.
Admins change to Bo7.
Tim asks why did not want Bo9 if you could field 5 playuers?
Roz tells tim you don't know shit, don't be a sore loser, but doesn't give answer.

First of all, if I were you, i wouldn't be just talking without even knowing the details. Do you really think we'll be scared of you guys if we had the players? Come on now buddy, just take the loss like a man. Don't try to kill the last bit of respect we have for you.

I was also around in admin's chat when the decision to keep it Bo7 was taken. I won't paste skype chat i am not a big fan of it.

I agree with you that the only person who wanted Bo7 was Roz, as much as the only person who didn't want SEACL play-offs was Benji. However for both case the format we were going to use was written in the competiion thread, so we didn't change the format half-way.

It clearly states that the format for SEACC is Ro64, Single Elimination GSTL All-Kill, Bo7. There is no special mentions to the final format, so it has to be the same as the rest of the competition.

I don't state that a team prefering Bo7 to Bo9 while they maybe could have the 5th player is good, i just say that their decision to prefer a Bo7 is legit.

As you said i was not in the game at the time of the finals so i won't say anything on what happened in the in-game chat. I just want to state that having finals format Bo7 instead of Bo9 or Bo21 ishouldn't be a source of arguments between the two teams.

the tournament was rescheduled from weds to thursday to accommodate for inFi, if Roz wanted jokes to play he could have easily accommodated that,
