Dear All,

We've come a long way from a simple forum site nirvAnA started - to a site with activity round the clock and a slow buildup of valuable content. To keep this going, we've had a great bunch of people to work with who are volunteering their time and effort and this list can be found here. Presenting the staff of SC2SEA.com!.

Next would be a list of things that we're currently in need of people to work on, and if you think you have the skillsets involved to pull the tasks off, please feel free to post on this thread to signify your interest, or PM me and we'll get back to you.

1. "SC2 SEA Weekly" writers
The SC2 SEA Weekly is a recap of stuff that happens around the server and community. This would likely involve (non exhaustive) tournament reviews, interviews, the next week's activity forecasts, etc.

Dr Nick's currently the main man working on the weekly news articles and I'm sure he'll welcome additional help on with whatever he's doing. If you have a good command of the English language, are passionate about the game and are willing to help out , we want you! Prior writing experience, a large contact list as well as a good knowledge of the game would be plus points and are good to have, but not imperative. What we're looking for here is someone/a team passionate enough to keep this up weekly and bringing quality reads for our community consistently.

Specifically though, Dr Nick is also looking for bilingual news writers with both a command of English as well as Thai/Malay.

2. Graphics/Banner Designers
This site constantly has new events going on and will have a constant need for stuff to be created. Banners, icons, etc. If you have mad Photoshop or gfx design skills and are willing to help out, please PM me or nirvAnA. Even if you don't want to join us as the inhouse gfx goto man, there's always room to have project based submissions, I'll list out the things that need

Current projects that require graphics
A. the sc2sea.com opening page banner (that's the thing you see at the top of the homepage) PM nirvAnA for info and submissions. The banner will have to incorporate the words Starcraft II and SEA in some form and should have a dark background which will merge into the colour of the greyish bit which is the home bar under the banner.
rough dimensions 1024 x 100-150pixels (height of banner is variable)
B. SC2 SEA Weekly Banners (headers and footers and eyecandy) PM Dr Nick for more info or submissions.
Should contain the text "SC2 SEA Weekly". We're pretty flexible with any background pics/fanart/CG etc.
rough dimensions 640 x 240-300pixels (height of banner is variable)

3. Stream online/offline widget coding
Seen the teamliquid.net stream online/offline + events integration into streamer links thing at the top right hand side of their webpage? If you have the necessary skills to do that and are willing to put your time and effort into it, it would be awesome to help the site as well as the SC2 SEA Community grow.

3. Logo designers or people with high level photoshop skills
The current logo was actually done by me in 10 mins with just copying n pasting. I didn't expect it to stay that way for so long! Do you have the skills and would you like your logo to be the first thing people see everyday when they log in to the site? Send me a PM. ASAP!

Apart from being a respectable poster, the key trait for all these staff applications is being passionate about what you do. Dedicating your own time and going out of your way to ensure events are run well and properly all for the growth of the community is no easy task unless you have the self-driven passion for it.

sc2sea.com is on its way to becoming a truly awesome all in one place for the sc2 SEA community, we are already on our way to becoming really big (We have recently reached 1k/hits a day lol

) and probably one day even have a self-sufficent means of funding our own regular events. If you wanna be part of shaping our future or accelerating the growth of the SEA community we will love to have you abroad.

SEA Weekly

I'm looking for anyone interested to help out with the SC2 SEA Weekly, someone who can speak Thai / Malayan while being masterful with English.

I also need someone to create header and footer banners as a bit of eyecandy.

Just a suggestion that maybe you guys should list out some details instead of receiving many PMs from people asking questions.

Like for the following points:
- State the banner size (the dimensions), what kind of presentations (concept/fan art as BG?, graphical design?)
- what kind of programing language? .asp .asp.net, php, java, c#

good suggestions, i'd imagine the banner up above to be 1024x100-120px
i'd imagine dr nick's banners to be roughly 640x240-300px for both headers and footers.

as for programming language i'd have no idea, php? i think that's what this forum is coded in. or if you have any knowledge on these things, could you advise?

The main banner on the page is 1343x108.

There will be all kinds of things we would need Photoshoped =/ Different Tournament and event Posters / Banners. Other banners and what not around the site. Those Forum Post Heading things. So yeah if you are somewhat experienced with Photoshop please do to tell.

about the main banner, it'll be aproblem for people whoose screen sizes are not >1024
so a 1024 image should be fine then we'll scale it or centralize it once we fix up more code

1343x108 is not an ideal dimension imho.

I think the main thing we need is a new banner. I have the psd for the Starcraft 2 sea thing if you want to use that as well just let me know. Atleast i think i have the psd still =/

Other than that little things like Newsletter maybe something for The Sea Word? Theres plenty of places around the site that wouldnt be hurt by having graphics there. So yeah go crazy.

The size is really the only hard restriction as far as im aware of. Id like to include the flags or maybe even replace them with a map view on like on the COTH banner. Think we can do away with Glade and ice now heh. But yeah just go nuts and if theres any problems we can just let you know. Or if you want to do a quick mock up or something to get feedback go ahead.

I can do both Malay and English but not thai =D

Also there is a slight difference between Indonesian (Bahasa) vs Malay Lang

Happy to help out with SC2 SEA Weekly writing. I'm a capable writer, unfortunately I don't speak Malay or Thai but happy to help out in any way, whether it be a weekly or even a more casual contribution schedule.

I'm very active in keeping up with the tournament scene as I enjoy it so much, and honestly one way or another I'll probably start doing some eSports journalism, so why not for the benefit of the community?

It would also make my eyes happier if the text was maybe moved up to the centre, or at least the 'BSG OPEN' bit be in the middle under the "SC2SEA.COM'S', instead of to the left ^_^

Two well designed logos are needed ASAP!!!

They have to be 80x80px and they will be used as the icons to identify

1) SEAL news that apply all, for e.g the weekly SEAL recap.
2) SEA CUP news
