I actually had a quite interesting idea to develop my own build and I wanted your opinion on the build, granted that it is still a early stage idea, but when I thought about it it could actually be quite viable in this match up. Granted it can be quite risky.
Its sort of a 1 gate stargate expo build, but then again it can be quite a useful aggressive build. I havent had time to come up with a BO exactly but its more or less a 1 Void, 1-2 pheonix (This is mainly if the Zerg has gone standard 14 Hatch 16 Pool, The pheonix can deal with the Queens and the void can take out the hatch. By this stage you may have your nexus roughly about 75%.
But as I said its still just an idea and I want to see if i can develop it further if its viable xD But love to hear your opinions and yeah.
Cheers Spartaz
P.S The build can only work if not scouted for the stargate XD
Spartaz this is a little bit silly can you post a replay or something cause you are just describing getting a SG on 1 base and then fast expanding. Like whats your BO how many gates do you get etc etc etc, this sounds rather strange. I feel you institutionally lose if they scout the SG and even if they don't scout it you will still lose.
Dies to any sort of pressure whatsoever from the Zerg player ie: you're forced to cancel your nexus if the zerg has 10 zerglings. Quite alot of zergs are building a handful of lings to pressure thesedays and your 1 gate will not hold it, and you're essensially on 1 base with 1 gate and a stargate, and you're basically hoping your 1-2 pheonix + 1 voidray can win you the game (Hint, it wont).
Stick with the standard builds until youre Masters, they're standard because they're good and reliable and well tested.
Forge expand is risky. You need solild FF to hold super agressive zerg players, Zerg can either do banelings bust with tons of speedlings or speedlings/roaches mix to bust your front.
We have see Dimaga doing the same built at GSL WC against San and San can't barely hold unless you can micro as well as San.

Try your build in YABOT against known builds from the AI - but structure it with goals for mid game in mind and build up to it from there.
For example:
- Set goals for MID GAME 1st: You want two stargates + X Warpgates with expansion looking for third.
- Then work EARLY GAME to achieve MID GAME: 2 Warpgates + Cyber + Forge + FE
Meh I just want to develop a signature build, As I said i havent actually thought it through at all, I want a build that can be set apart.... Hmmm..... Need to try and test stuff out xD
