Verdana realised what a complete fool he was. To have been so easily angered, and to have made such a careless mistake... He could do nothing as gravity took hold of him and his body fell toward's Torniquet's blade.

"I tried my best father, im sorry i could not do more to honour you name. I just hope that i have bought enough time for Tanahon and DeathsFang. I place my faith in you Tanahon, that you will avenge me and help make peace prosper in the land"

And so Verdana made his peace with death, smiled serenely and waited for death to take him to where his father was...

Writers note: Zeion if you are reading this and you are thinking of continuing the story from here pls wait for me to post one more time. I have a good idea for how to continue from here

A few seconds later, Verdana thought to himself, " What happened? Why am I not dead? Or am I dead already and I've forgotten the pain?". He slowly opened his eyes, unsure of what he might see in front of him. Verdana was shocked to see Torniquet's blade only a few centimeters in front of his eyes.

" What is happening? Why am I no longer falling? Why have you not killed me yet Torniquet?"

Torniquet merely sighed and shook his head sadly, " *sigh*... It would appear that you are a very lucky boy... Being saved so close to death..."

Verdana confused as to how he was saved only a millisecond from death looked around wildly searching for his saviour. However he did not see anyone. Suddenly, from the shadows two figures appeared.

KellyMILKIES and Benji walked out of the shadows, Benji with a face of pure anger while Kelly with a face of both anger and sadness. Verdana finally realised that Kelly and saved him through the use of stealth, skill and magic. Kelly had ensured that the two of them were hidden from Torniquet, waiting for a time to strike. But when Verdana was about to die, Kelly had no choice but to use an extremely strong microfilament, almost invisible to the naked eye, to immobilize Torniquet where he stood while Benji castes a spell of levitation to prevent Verdana from falling onto the blade.

Verdana was pulled back by Benji and released next to Tanahon. Kelly and Benji continued advancing towards Torniquet until they were only a few meters from him. There was a strange silence in the air as no one spoke.

Finally Kelly spoke out, her words full of hurt and anger " So it's you.. I never thought I would ever see you again, much less in these circumstances... And you changed you name too... But you could not change your face and prevent me from recognizing you... Brother..."

Torniquet beamed proudly at his sister, "Ah sis! How nice to see you again! I see that you have grown well, how long has it been? 5,10 years?"

"Its been 20..." replied Kelly.

"Ah how time flies... I remember the times we had when we were younger... You learning from me the art of stealth and assassination... Me catching you every time you tried to sneak up on me... Well at least you've improved. I could not detect you at all! I guess the 20 years gave you a LONG time to practise eh?" Torniquet said almost fondly...

Kelly did not acknowledge her brother's words and shouted," Why did you leave me brother?! Why did you leave me to fend for myself?!?"

Torniquet smiled," Ahh yes... I remember that day... You were asleep in bed when I left you...", he paused for a moment as he recalled that day, then he grew serious, "I left you sister because you were nothing but a hindrance to me... Having to care for you prevented me from improving my skills and gaining power... And so i decided to leave. To search for greater power. I wandered for a long time sister... Slowly honing my skills and learning new things... I thought i was better than anyone else, but then i met Lord Oxygen right before he and aLt came here... I challenged him in a duel, confident that no one could defeat me... However, he swiftly crushed me and i knew that he was better than me in every way...

I waited for him to kill me, as it was a duel to the death. But instead he agreed to train me, he saw the potential in me and wanted to help me harness it. To grow stronger than ever before! And now i am the top assassin in the 'Crazies'! I do whatever i want and nobody except for the 5 aLt members can stop me!!!" he laughed maniacally when he spoke the last sentence but slowly stifled it before resuming, "Anyway you should thank me sis."

"Why should i thank you for abandoning me..." Kelly spoke with words full of hurt and anger.

"Because if it wasn't for me leaving you, you would not have become so strong... Without me you learned to care for yourself... To keep yourself safe and to protect yourself when needed... If i had not abandoned you you would probably not have even met Glade and Kowi and joined then against The Great Lord NirvAnA!... Anyway our time together grows short me dear sister and i have to bid you adieu."

And with that Torniquet broke free of Kelly's wires, to her great surprise, and disappeared...

Everyone was stunned at what had just happened before their eyes... Especially Verdana and Tanahon. To think that their assassin was one of their greatest ally's brother? It was near impossible! Nobody could talk for a while, all in great shock... But after a while Tanahon spoke up, "Umm guys? I know that we are all shocked by this turn of events but... DeathsFang is dying and my healing is only helping so much... We really should get him to proper clerics and not battle mages like me..."

The rest broke out of their shock after hearing Tanahon and Benji quickly began to help. Benji slowly levitated DeathsFang while Tanahon continued to heal him, together they slowly moved their incapacitated companion to the castle's medical bay for better and more experienced help.

Once the two mages left, Verdana approached KellyMILKIES, put his arm around her and gripped her shoulder tightly, to show his support.

" I'm sorry you had to meet your brother again after so long in these circumstances... If you need anything, anything at all. Just ask and my brother and I will be more than happy to help..."

Verdana could almost see Kelly's eyes start to well up with tears before she wiped it away with her sleeve "Thank you Verdana... Thank you...", she sniffled.

Verdana smiled warmly, "No problem Kelly. After all what are friends for? Come on lets go see how DeathsFang is doing."

With Verdana pulling her along Kelly walked along side him and together they walked to see how DeathsFang was and hoped that there would be no more heartbreaks that day...

Writer's note: Sry could not write was the last few days, was busy :P. Btw sry if this post isn't as well written as the rest. Was only able to write for a short while and was not able to properly think/plan completely.

Apth strained underneath the weight of his master's potions, herbs and tomes as he walked behind HDPhoenixx under the sweltering hot sun...

"Huff... Huff... Have we finally gotten all that we need Master?"

"Yes we have Apth. We can now continue on to our next destination." replied HD.

"And where would that be?"

HD sighed disappointingly, "Were you not listening to me before we set off? We are going to go to my dear daughter Paw! We must bring her back to the village whatever it takes."

HD then smiled, " Ah it will be nice to see Metalopolis again. I have not seen that grand city for such a long time. I wonder how much it has changed... Anyway, let us hurry and teleport. I want to be there as soon as possible."

"Aye aye Master HD..." called Apth sullenly. Teleportation always made his stomach turn. And with that the Master and his apprenticed casted their spells and disappeared into thin air...

As dawn breaks, Tanahon and Verdana head down to the Council Meeting Hall. The hall isn't filled with laughter like any other day but the gloomy atmosphere was stifling.
"I am please to announce that our fellow council memember DeathFang is well and out of danger harm." Benji sat down and glance at everyone in the room.

"He may be out of harms way but i believe everyone know that darger is lurking at every corner! i propose a 3 man party. it can be of any combination as long there's at least 1 caster in each party. on that note all casters are to head down to the Nursing Hall and having training sessions with the clerics."

Everyone in the hall nodded in agreement to Benji's proposal knowing this is their best option in the given situtation.

"Hey bro.. should we ask Paw to join our party?" asked Verdana

"i was thinking to get Jaczie with us! Afterall she is a verteran and we know Jazie better then we know Paw. Unless you wish to get burned again?" Tanahon winked at Verdana who is red like tomato.

"Holy Merzza! Don't tell me you have fallen for PAW?!"

"err.. err.. i guess it's better to get Jaczie in our party as you suggested!" Verdana looked around seeing if he could see Jaczie in huge hall and also to advoid the stare of Tanahon.


@Nix- lol.. slavedriver.. well at least you are a great dad! xD

Jaczie was no where to be seen and the two boys were about to walk around and look for her when a messenger ran up to Benji and whispered hurriedly. As Benji leaned in to hear better his face turned pale and fear appeared in his eyes. Tanahon and Verdana looked at each other and immediately knew what the other was thinking, "This can't be good..."

After the messenger had finished saying what needed to be said, Benji turned back to the crowd in front of him and said to all of them in a distracted manner, "Umm, there appears to be a umm... Complication... In DeathsFang's condition... Tanahon and Verdana can the two of you please quickly go to the medical bay? I will be with the two of you shortly..."

The two boys hurriedly ran over to Benji and they rushed off to the medical bay so that they may know as to what has happened to DeathsFang to have cause Benji to have become so pale.

Hey Zeion? Just asking, in your story update you say that Verdana was burned in love by paw. I thought it was Tanahon who liked paw and not Verdana?

tanahon is the flirt~ verdana starts to get attached after the training session.. ~ sorry should have build tat up in the story den.. place it in lidat~
