But I'm sure they'll be awesome!
Some absolutely great proposals for playoffs spots, will be hard for admins to decide.

, where does this leave me in consideration of place ment in the team order is he allowed a silver position due to being silver at the season commence. Hope so cos i am the last silver :'( gotta 1v1 ladder more.

The rules state that in the event a silver player can't replace him, if he signed up as silver he can still be one of the first two players even if he gets promoted.

My team should be fine for Thursday - Later start time if possible. but I'll start talking to players and work it out.

GG KA - you lead the competition all season - gl in the finals. To the Clanless, who have impressed all the way as well, good luck. FaDe B, great effort as well securing fourth spot. Glad we don't have to face off against each other until the final

I think the best Win/Loss ratios should be counted.. not number of wins (if this is for the BSGCL All stars... as some of the smaller teams sent out the same players every other week.. where as some larger clans only sent out players a quarter of the time... for example.. :P

ALSO, with the end of the BSGCL - Sadly my Clanless team will be splitting up and many members are looking for clans... If your interested in some of the Clanless players for your PDCL or BSGCL teams then please contact me if you've got any questions about the players... Almost all of them have been highly active - with exception to Hydro (who is one of Australia's top TF2 and now BF3 players) and Avenger (who took some time to play competitive Halo for $10,000!!!)...

However a fair number of the players are interested in joining clans (some have already thought about which clan they would like to join)...

Important note : This ranking is just for information, the BSG Allstars is an event run by Edarus, so he'll make the invitations. It's not because you're top 8 in the rankings that you will be invited to Allstars. It might just help Edarus to make his choice

You can use it to make an article yeah

And actually the statistics i put here are not 100% complete. There are some games where nobody sent a report so i just know the final score, not the details of the 1v1.

Might also be fun to run a 'Aces' tournament... where each team manager selects one representative (must be BSG) to duke it out in a 10 man double elim tournament... Perhaps if there is enough interest I'll run this Winner gets loads of pride and mad respect....?

There will be a season 3 for BSG Clan League. Format may change a little, in order to cover all the little glitches we had this season.

A quick one from me guys and I hope people do read this.

Although I have been absent for MOST of this season of the BSGCL I am STILL an admin and I wish to officially voice my disappointment in the organisation shown by the "leading four teams" of this season's competition.

This was the first week of finals.
This is the god-damned BSG CLAN League, and the only team to front a bloody team were the CLANLESS players?!

F****** good on them for being organised and showing the community that people without a clan can pull their heads in and do the right thing.
Yes, managers may have been contacted to discuss a potential resched... what about the admins?
In other weeks people have posted "we're reschedding to X day / time"... why not THIS week?

Its. The. Finals.
If YOU want this event to go ahead with the support of people like Maynarde and Frog who do a brilliant job supporting the event and CASTING it for you, out of their own god damned time, getting no self benefit... then show THEM you deserve it by making the simplest effort to show you have some manner, respect and effort for the event or it simply will not run again.

Hey hey.. yeah just because we are Clanless - doesn't mean we can't get our shit together - I'll also take this time to thank the team for being really active all season! a few of the players have improved soo quickly (I was probably the best player at the start.. and am definitely not any more.. T_T)

Anyway, I've come to an agreement with EXCL for the Clanless v FaDe B reschedule.
We will (most likely) play on Monday night (time to be confirmed) EXCL still needs to check with players and will post in this thread by Sunday if any changes are to happen.
If nothing is said.. and we show up Monday and no FaDe then admins can deal with it...

HOWEVER, if both teams show up.. we have agreed that with the short time between now and then to organise players if a full roster isn't available on Monday night - remainder of the matches will be played on Wednesday night (this has been decided so we don't get in trouble if only 2 or 3 show up on that night and that both EXCL and I prefer to play out the matches, rather than get W/O's)

Nothing will be left over on Wednesday night though, if someone doesn't show.. W/O is given to the team that does.

Times for play are to be confirmed by EXCL by Sunday. 8pm start as default for both nights however - so if nothing is said by a FaDe B representative then 8pm Monday night will be when the games are played.

I've also asked EXCL to quote this or put a comment to confirm that FaDe are all good with this.. so hopefully everything can be set in stone...
Also, no reschedule will be made unless there is a post in THIS thread.. THIS THREAD ONLY. not BSGCL Playoffs week 1.. but this thread...

Hey guys, this post isn't a happy one but it has to be done none-the-less.

Some evidence came into light tonight that there was yet more smurfing, with certain players being WAY too highly ranked on other servers (Diamond with over 100 wins) and owning up on SEA and other players knowing about it but staying silent. This is against the rules which were made clear over 10 weeks ago.

Without getting into too many details (as it's between the admins and KA's team leader) we have basically decided that FaDe A are awarded the win over KA. It's really unfortunate, but in the interest of fairness and consistency we feel it's necessary to change the result.

KA aren't removed from the tournament, they still have a second life in the finals but will do so without the offending players. I wish them the best of luck, and don't blame anyone except the offenders for the transgression and I hope you all do the same.

We've had a really hard time with smurfers in this season of BSGCL (as anyone who regulates this thread will realise) and need to come down hard on it, I'm sure you all understand why there is a zero tolerance policy on smurfing. It's a bit late to massage any new rules into the list, but (for the 100th time lol) I assure you that next year we will have something that will be a lot fairer on people from multiple leagues of every tier. Keep your eyes peeled for that

Sorry about the sombre nature of this post, but I'm sure you appreciate the disclosure as much as we, the admins, appreciate it from you; the BSG community. Good luck and have fun for the rest of the finals

Agreed... what happened to fair play guys. The more smurf, the harder it is for comps like this to run; the less likely comps like this will actually happen; and the less likely players will WANT to play in these comps. So use your heads! you're ruining it for the community while you attempt to get your cheated glory.

Kudos to the admins for having epic patience and tolerence this season of the BSGCL... I appreciate it and I am sure all involved in BSGCL do to.

Its a shame that this season has been rife with this kind of activity and it disheartens me to see it happen (or to be found out) yet again, and to make it worse its during the finals!

Keep your heads high guys, greater things are coming in future.
In the mean time, team captains / managers PLEASE be diligent in checking your players.

No matter how well you may know or trust someone, time has proven we cannot slack off when it comes to ensuring the rules are followed and the league remains fair.

Actually i don't think we have more smurfs this season than last one. It's just that we found more of them in season 2. Making league-restricted competition will always involve smurfing. We cannot stop it, but we can reduce the impact of it.

It's very hard today to determine who is a smurf or who's not, because we're drawing a subjective line of skills to not cross. However, if we want to organize competitions, we have to deal with it. There will always be smurfing, voluntary or not. What we clearly don't want is to make players ladder on other servers/account and not on their SEA one.

There will be a new clan league system coming early 2012, and there will be a BSG division attached to it. Even if we have a lot of problems with smurfing, we will still organize competitions for the BSG players because we love them more than anyone else. The format will be different, and made to reduce smurfing, so be all prepared for a few changes.

In my opinion Chad you shouldn't really have to publicize your team's NA accounts... You can check them for sure but maybe in private and deal with them accordingly. I believe this because everyone trusts you Chad, you have an amazing reputation and credibility.

full disclosure and complete translucency legitimises this league even further.

While it might seem unnecessary to post the teams NA accounts I firmly believe that if you have nothing to hide - it doesn't matter if you show it to everyone.

Anyway - perhaps future provisions should be considered in sign ups for preceding seasons, where players (competing in any BSG League) post both their NA and SEA account leagues.

The only way to verify a players NA account is to add them in game and talk to them on the NA server. Anyone can post a NA account and say it is them - it still needs verification.

Yeah I agree with rezyn8, add the email of the account in SEA. That would eliminate over 90% of smurfing in my pov. However it is a little tedious.

I think it may get to a point that the Clan Leaders have a listing of all relevant details for their players which can be requested by the admins of the leagues to verify a players' league if a complaint rises. It adds a hell of a lot of overhead but if we are serious about ruling out smurfs then it may be a necessary evil.

The weird thing is, I never got an opportunity to change my game ID on the NA server - it automatically set me as rezyn#772 (which I don't mind) - it might have been done through the battle.net web site.

As for transparency, I have updated my sig with my NA account. Its platinum but I only ranked up on the day that Dox Cup #2 was running and have only played my 5 placement matches. My SEA account is quite obviously my main. Does this mean I am breaking the rules?

Thanks guys for the suggestions, don't stress over the possibility of smurfing next season though. It won't really be necessary to link your NA account as (what Frogmite said in his post) there will most likely be a new clan league system that will remove the need to smurf. More details coming in in 2012.

I want to take this chance to personally apologise to everyone that has been affect by what has happened. Personally when I requested details from all the players at signup everyone was well within the BSG range levels. I have been unaware that FantasyBoy has reached diamond over the course of this season and I apologise once again to FaDe A for this.

As for the fate of Kelvin's Army after today, at least in the BSGCL we may have to pull out of the league due to the removal of certain players combined with many of our players being overseas on holidays. I will have to contact some players to find out when they can return but if they are unable to, best wishes to the remaining teams in the competition

AFAIK the rule on what KA can and cannot do regarding players has already been made.

At the moment, KA has plenty of subs and are allowed to take whatever player they want. If said player is from another clan that's eliminated I can't see the harm in allowing them to jump on board. This league is about fun after all, and more games is better than no games

Agreed - KA can make Allstars team?...

Either way, imo my team have been working on particular match ups to be snipers.. so If I have no idea about half of KA's roster its going to be hard to prepare for that match.. so imo, subs should be made asap...

That being said, I would rather play vs KA (if we happen to beat FaDe B) than get a W/O.... I hope something happens so KA can get their team up in time for the next match..
Which if it is vs Clanless... I'm more than happy to reschedule the match a bit to ensure KA have the best chance of fielding a team.

For the KA v Clanless match;-

Shadowz and I are currently working out the time and date to play out our match.
At this stage we will be playing on Saturday night, time is yet to be arranged - Shadowz has requested Saturday, I just need to check in with my team and organise when we will start, but i'll post here when everything is confirmed.

Also, Shadowz has said, with the difficulties of getting a full roster together he has requested that as many games as possible be played on Saturday night - however some games may need to be played on a later date. Shadowz needs to work out when this can be done (if not on Saturday).

Also, the final - when can this be played? (Shadowz, EXCL and I should work that out asap so we don't have any more last minute reschedules...

I have ordered a headset and it should be coming some time next week, so I may come back to cast a few games next season, or maybe the end of this season if opportunities arise. I casted a couple games with Meatex I think in Season 1 and it went pretty well, would love to do it again

I have talked to most of the team and everyone has days this week they are unavailable. Also with Xmas being so close, some of our players are heading off to be with family etc.

So for FaDe A - some players will be available Tuesday; some Wednseday; and some Thursday. I know this is less than optimal, but even I am getting busier with Xmas coming up... this may need to be a staggered grand finals... what you thinking Chad?

We should definately play before you head off. As alot of you may realise, we only have 5 members of FaDe A that consistently turn up... badass being one of them! FaDe A also have 1 sub.. but it would be troublesome to include new players in a lineup in the grand final... bit op imo.

Nah mate. Original FaDe A is the only team I would go to war with for the Grand Final for BSG, and you guys are the only ones I would want with me. If we weren't in Playoffs and I was offered a spot on another team, wouldn't have taken it. It's really been a blast to be on FaDe A, and lets try to keep it that way for the Grand Final. Seen guys like Rezyn develop, and others like you regress (from playing too much Skyrim haha). Much preferred if we can work something out so that you can play. I'm sure EXCL is on it anyway, dude is a boss at organising and working out things. Props to EXCL for all his hard work this season!

Unless you want to play some games on Wed night and then restart Thursday when / if your player is eliminated.

Yeah, thats the thing.
We only have 1 silver ready to play on Wed, and we're trying to play Wed so Badass can go before he disappears from Australia. Only other option is that our bronzie (Rez) will be back on Wed around 10-11 pm.
This is a tough one to organise haha.

Another option is Tuesday/Thurs.

Tuesday we can have 2 bronze/silver and badass play (at a proposed time of 8:30 pm, can be adjusted etc.), since Rez/Hal can play on Tuesdays. Rest of the games will finish on Thurs.

Personally, I'm against this. It enables teams that get to the final to use all of their subs and pick the best players from other teams to make an All stars team. which would be kinda imba.
Lets run with current line ups - if that is an issue for FaDe A then they can sub in players not currently with a team - either that or the sub counts as 1 sub from the team the player is leaving and 1 sub used for the team that player is joining - still would be a bit imba imo.

So i propose that Maynarde streams and i put the fire on the stream, that should be during my breakfast as there is 10 hours difference between France and Australia. Sweet - only way to send out the BSGCL in style is with Maynmite/Frognarde cast!!!

As for roster - Clanless have done and will always pick players on the night based on the match up at hand. Usually the only player selected prior to the event is the starting player, and perhaps the second

player.

I don't think anyone of you realises that we are indeed able to play the 2 bronze/silver games on Wednesday night because mrbadass was demoted to Silver and thus counts as a Silver player now. On another note Ricochet you are Platinum on NA and ladder there frequently so you are no longer Silver.

As for the finals... To be frank I have lost most of my interest in playing StarCraft 2 so it might be wiser to sub Fullstop into FaDe A and hope he can make it.

However, if you've lost your interest - then thanks for the games - you will be missed..

For mrbadass/Ricochet league swap... I'm not sure what the ruling is for Gold dropping to silver and a silver who is plat on NA is... but I'll let the admins decided on that..

As for Fulstop being transfered onto the FaDe A team - I'm not sure that I still agree with players changing from their original team to another... but if Zero can't muster up enough SC2 passion for one more series against Clanless.. Then I guess Fullstop is a suitable replacement - but this should be up to the admins - I'll accept their decision.

As for the Match - Wednesday at 8:30pm is set - unless I can't get the silvers - I know we should be okay for 3 gold players on both nights - just need to work out when the silver league players are available...

Apologies I screwed that up, turns out mrbadass is still considered as a Gold player so yeah things are still complicated... -_-

If the admins don't allow Fullstop to be subbed into FaDe A then I suppose I will play but right now I'm a terribly inconsistent player and I really don't want to play anymore.

The only problem right now is that FaDe A doesn't have enough players to play (both FaDe teams had this problem in the group rounds).

In that logic, if I'm as good as everything thinks I am then it shouldn't be a problem. KA was allowed the option of subbing the best players from all teams so what's wrong if FaDe needs a sub.

I think 1 change should be okay.. and that it is up to the admins... It all depends on how the players are subbed in/out... swapping a player for another isn't an issue - but imagine if Zero did play, with Fullstop and FaDe subbed in Orb and Falcon... the line up, Ricochet, Falcon, Orb, Fullstop and Zero.. All stars team or what?... :O That is what I don't want, not just cause my team would get rolled, but it wouldn't be fair and in the spirit of the clan league..
(Also, as these transfers are between two FaDe teams it seems fair, as it was always the FaDe Clan - no doubt you guys all practice together and both the teams represent FaDe. And the final is Clanless v FaDe.

As I've said, this is in the hands of the admins - I totally accept and respect their decision...

In regards to fullstop subbing in - its only if we have no other choice and then its up to admins. But thats only if we have no other choice.

Yeah - I'll try, but with such short notice I doubt many will be able to make it tomorrow night.
So at this stage, Wednesday/Thursday is the go.. I'll see what I can do about Tuesday/Thursday...

Update: If you don't and I am forced to play I cannot be held responsible for the outcome of the matches, also there is no guarantee that I may or may not have something on on the days that my games are to be played... Especially given that there is yet to be a designated date.

To start the BSG CL Finals - Wednesday > Tuesday... I propose we start Wednesday 8:30pm AEDT...
if thats too tricky for FaDe - some of us might be on Tuesday... might be able to play some games then - but no guarantee. then we should be fine to reconvene on Thursday night at the same time.
