Yeah you're right blink immortal is much safer but has problems against hydra, need to scout very aggressively to see a hydra den and react with collosus.
Even vs hydra ling fighting with cannons helps and blink has such a huge effect. Also sentrys can forcefield those slowdras out for days while you get colossus. I understand some maps are harder to do it on thats just adjusting to it though
Wow thats pretty intense a lot of practice needed for this haha so what if they massed roach and come for your third do you just forcefeild as best as possible and let the cannons and immortals do as much damage as possible? but then i guess that void ray will scare them off

Only need two if you scout hydras you can add more I personally just chrono blink and keep wrapping in stalkers as cannon immortals stalkers sentrys are fine vs it. If you have a wrap in and you ahve trapped the in with forcefields or are within wrapping distance I wrap in zealots as they tank well and do a good amount of damage when they hit especially cos you should have an upgrade advantage and zealots vs hydra ling are awesome
I had this weird game where the zerg went muta/corrupter off 2 base with mass spines. I was also on 2base, and i made pheonix blink stalker for defense but his numbers got too high and he denied my third for quite the longest time while he snuck his own third in with more mass spines/spores. Theoretically I think he shouldnt have been able to outmass me with only 2 base but he somehow did. Any suggestions?

just the normal timing for a 3rd with this build and your fine add cannons to ward them off and your blink 8 gate with phenox should own I generally go for a 3 base push with 10 gates and 2 2 if vsing muta play. As i said before you shouldn't die to muta with this build.
