Seeing as he is camera was stationary at his nexus for so long, he might have been staring at his minimap and caught the probe. As for cheatin, it's too hard to tell either way IMO.

It's the whole community decision, not mine (or only mine).

Do you have replays of games with him ? Even friendly games inside your clan could be useful. It's unlicked that he MH in a friendly game, but we never know ....

thats true, though im sure since you seem to follow the thread pretty closely that you have a pretty large say.

anyways, not sure about other replays, we've only just recently become more active but ill have a look around and ask if anyone's played with him recently.

Just to add on to inform the public about how the 'list' is generated, AFAIK I'm the only one who adds /removes people from the OP list, ever since nirvAnA gave me ownership of the OP halfway through

Nemo clearly has a lot of credibility due to his long-term involvement with this thread, but while I trust his analyses, I personally also review all of the replays myself to double-check before adding anyone to 'confirmed'.

In most cases, I'm always the most hesitant to add anyone to the list, because of the stigma involved in being labelled a hacker, especially in ambiguous cases. (Those who have been following this thread for awhile should know this) Thus you can be sure that anyone who is on the list is either blatantly hacking or has been deemed by a large majority of credible, reliable (i.e. high-level) players to be hacking.

I would like to thank those who have been submitting any such reports, and also remind everyone to be as detailed as possible in your reports instead of just submitting a replay without pointing out the points of suspicion. This saves a great deal of time as well as alerts us to precisely where to look at.

As for defending your clan mates, the best way to do so is to ask him to personally step forward and provide an explanation to his actions. Most of the time maphackers don't as they have nothing to say. And if he wasn't hacking it shouldn't be that difficult to defend his actions.

Z(me) v P(LifeWire).

I was doing a 14 P into H and gas, preparing for a baneling bust since I saw his wall badly place in terms of pylon. To my surprise, I saw mutiple cannons when I tried to bust even though I took control of towers and made sure no probes were able to scout again. Then I checked the replay and see through his vision. He only scouted once and he only see my main hatch plus a spawning pool for the whole game, but he threw down 3-4 cannons more once I started massing slings. He did not even move out of his base even once after the initial scout. I wanted to give him a chance to explain, so I PMed him but he was dodgy with all sorts of crap and didn't give any explanation.

Well post them all please with the dates you played him. 9 random ladder games will certainly help us understand this case.

Post all of them please.

In conclusion, he's probably not Map Hacking in PvZ at least. It would still be interesting to have some other recent PvP and PvT from him.

Why would anyone turn off their maphack program only if they're playing a PvZ? I feel as if during the earliest parts of the game where it is the most critical part of the game (since you're doing your build order and building up your foundation for later in the game), you can't afford to miss workers or building timings. And if you have maphack enabled during the start of the game, I cannot think of a reason to turn it off just because he's playing a PvZ. It's either he's actually maphacking but he's really sneaky and we just couldn't find suspicious actions on all of the 9 replays, or he's not using maphack at all.

Or maybe he could be using the maphack software that Nemo posted on SC2SEA, the one that has the forcefield timer and the production tab enabled, and he has the "maphack" feature disabled.

Just my 2 cents.

I understand the 'process' of going though and checking PvT and PvP replays, but considering you've got a heap of replays with no evidence for it and only a semi sus replay to accuse him it's pretty safe to call him clear unless someone comes in and accuses him again with evidence.

I can't see any reason people would turn on / off hacks for suspicious match ups.

Hum, that was more than a semi-suspect replay.

But I try to stay on facts. Your replays shows that on PvZ against you he doesn't hack. I can safely expand that to all PvZ and that's already a big step toward saying that it was just "luck".

I don't feel as safe to expand the conclusion to PvP since PvP is often disliked by players and more likely to contain hidden tactics.

He still stays innocent still proven guilty, but personally for me to be really confident he doesn't MH I would prefer having some other PvP (or PvT).

So if we can have other replays, all good, if not, too bad it will stay like that.

We had several experiences in this Hacker tracking process( Ghost, Evets for instance) where we have seen hackers toggling on and off MH. They want to improve too and they know they don't with MH on. It's often a confident boost or a way to play without stressing for what opponent could do.

And I'm 100% sure he wasn't MAP hacking against Peleus. he was genuinely surprised each time he had to be surprised.

I played Wallace i think once where he did this 12 gate 14 gate. Too bad i played at a lan shop and can't supply a replay but i feel like i have to defend his actions. Going blind 2 gates on daybreak is actually not that uncommon since cannon rush/proxy 2 gate are super duper common on daybreak. I found that quite a number of players are favoring 2 gate openings. I'll try to find any replays of me vsing him from home.

I believe wallace is a maphacker aswell, Fourby and i both played him on entombed valley on the same day and he proxied 2 gates outside both our bases at the exact same location (4 player map) without scouting us with the exact same spawns. he either guessed both times and got stupidly lucky or he is maphacking. Due to other people accusing him, im not going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Ok! We are In VisioN of your base. Fail joke. Well, first FictioN, now Wallace. But to be honest, based on the evidence collected and what I've gone through, it just seems as though Wallace is a pretty random player. Here are what I think of the submitted replays.

Replay submitted by pRoNotoriouS : (No GG, BM!!! Just kidding xD )

I admit, this is highly suspicious. Making 2 gates at your own base, without scouting is really not a standard opener if you ask me. He did not look into the fog of war, as stated by Pickle. Could be looking at the minimap instead, but really he could've been 2gated a few games before and just blind countered.

Quote: When his scouting probe left his base he saw your probe coming in from an abnormal angle. There is no reason for your probe to take that scouting path unless you're up to something strange, in response to this he threw down the second gate. ~ Odds

Replays submitted by TAChampi :

Game 1: Because he did not scout the top left first, I will not say its not possible he maphacked. After all, you can watch the minimap.

Game 2 : I do not believe any map hacks were used in this game, for the simple reason that he was actually scouting (Top left base, then bottom right). Yes maybe he was doing that to cover up. But if you watch his camera movement, it does not suggest maphacks. Again, you could say he can see it all on the minimap, but I don't think this is solid enough evidence to convict him.

Note: I also think that it's really luck where he places his pylon, because if he scouts it will delay the 2gate.

I've also gone through what Peleus has posted, and like Nemo, I do not think any map hacks were used.

Conclusion :

I will talk to Wallace the next time I see him on. Should he have really been using map hacks, I think it is best to come clean and accept the punishment instead of delaying the inevitable. (If he was hacking) After reading the discussions as well as watching the replay, I myself believe that Wallce was NOT HACKING. I'd like to apologize to everyone for the trouble. I promise that this issue will be resolved shortly, after I have talked to Wallace. I'd also like to thank the people who have contributed to the discussion by giving their opinions as well as supplying us with replays. Special thanks to Nemo for running this thread so well. I hope we can solve this soon. ^^

+ [Important] +
As it has caused issues in the past, this is MY PERSONAL opinion. I am not speaking on behalf of Team InVisioN, as I have not discussed this with DoMo. Should I have wrong info or said something offensive, it is all on me.

In both those games Wallace proxies hes gates right between the North 2 potential opponent bases. He could have better chances proxiing them nearer the real base if he was MH. Like that he has 2 chances out of 3 to be correctly placed for proxy 2 gate.

Those 2 games tells us he doesn't like PvP and proxy 2 gate is a very usual strategy for him, but mainly proxied.
Why he didn't proxied them vs Notorious is still suspicious. Maybe is to gain some time on his gates. It might be quite similar timings and better to defend a 2 gates on this map where it might be more common. We can't know for sure.

So, in my opinion, I would say it paradoxically slightly lighten the suspicion on him. His hate of PvP make him make the most basic All-ins to make them short. The place where he places his 2 proxy gates indicates he's taking his (good) chances that the opponent base is on one of the 2 North spots.

That doesn't prove he's innocent either so other replay of PvP and especially one where he would fail his "guess" would be useful. Only PvP on ladder please suspicious or not (or suspicious other ones).
