I think the problem is that:
a. It's too crowded
b. you're using pictures of 2 separate styles. I think you need one or the other.

I don't mean to step on your work IcedTea! I appreciate how much time it takes to cut/crop/edit and layer banners. This is one I knocked up tonight. Just to throw out there in the mix of ideas.

EDIT: Also preemptive stfu zerg if I put a zerg character in there it would have been too "busy" and kerrigan counts as both BAM

EDIT: Set it as my wallpaper, and it looks pretty neat imo. Try setting as wallpaper.
I dont have much icons on my desktop so for me, it looks pretty nice.

Made a version without the characters for Echo. Also fixed up the white line on the left.
