Here's a list of some small "rules" to follow that I made up if your trying to be a generally nice guy (or gal) on SC2. Don't take them as anything more than guidelines. These are just some things I think people can do to make it nice for us all
1. Always GLHF at the beggining of a game or something along these lines! It's a nice easy friendly opening. Even if you plan on cheesing or some other silly tactic its nice to be greeted with a GL HF... especially when they will need all the luck they can to survive your annoying attempts at cheesing!
2. If you don't want to be called "A cheesy #####" or some such... then don't cheese. If you cheese expect to be BMed and try not to bait them into it.... Unless you're trolling.. Then by all means bait them as much as you want.
3. Don't GG before the other player. I don't know about everyone else but this is a pet peeve of mine and I know some people don't see a problem with it >.<
Sometimes at the beggining i'll GL HF GG... which is my excuse for not gging at the end ^_^ and i think that is acceptable... but attacking your opponent and then saying GG before he or she decided to tap out is a dick move! Dick move I say!! There's been a few times when someone has preemptively gg'ed me and I've just stayed in the game out of spite. So.. Don't gg before the other player as it might upset them.
4. Don't PM people who rage quit after your game with GG or Y u suck so bad? or why no gg? It's rude and totally uncalled for. They RAGE quit! It means they're angry and they don't want to talk to you, so leave them alone. PMing them with GG after a game where they think they played crap will not make them happy. ( I know cus it makes me furious... espesh cus I'm already raging >.<) However if you see them in a channel I think its fine to say GG in the chat channel. If they then chose to respond in the channel then it's all good... But if they remain quiet then you know they probably don't like you and you should hope they don't know voodoo or some other kind of scary death magics.
5. If a player asks for your help don't be all "ur an ez pz n0oB gt l0sT i h8 u". Encourage them a bit and maybe inform them of what they can do better or where they can go to get better.. Eg Day9 or the TL site or maybe PRACBUD where they can find things that they can go away and do on their own that will get them to stop bothering you! (if they are in fact bothering you if they are not and you enjoy teaching them how to be better then good for you and you don't really need this rule)
We need all the players we can get on SEA so don't alienate them so much that they quit! Help them to get better and make our scene even better for us all!
6. If your playing with someone on your team who you think is crap instead of being "why u so crap!?" why don't you try and encourage them to do things that are beneficial for your team. Eg "Hey buddy u need to get a core up so u can make stalkers" or "You should expand now mate". Its not hard to be polite and politeness in turn will usually get people to respond politely.. rather than "**** off noob don't tell me what to do".. If your teammates are annoying you can always just block them and play to the best of your ability
7.Just generally be nice to people. Don't insult them for doing things wrong... Even tho you really really really want too. People are always trying to be better at SC2 and it's hard when the people better than them like to slam them down for being crap. So lets all be a really nice community (not that we aren't already) and be sociable and lovely in game... Most of the time at least..
Note that I have broken every single one of these rules... thats why they are guidelines... >.< I do try to follow my own rules but rude people tend to get under my skin. Anyway I think its a good idea to show people that some of these are the right way to go =)
Tho if you want to troll... Basically do the opposite of all of these and I suppose your winning?
9. upload your replay in the sc2sea database when you beat a top player
10. when your opponent is overcome by "boxer syndrome" and lifts off his CC to begin his epic comeback, type "Seriously?" and watch the chat light up like the fourth of july. Works best if opponent is called YoonYJ. Then proceed to step 9. Kidding of coz i Yoon!
11. make a thread on sc2sea and demand a showmatch
13 - You have several ways of showing your respect to your opponent when you beat him : Manner mules, manner Command Center, Hatc, Nexus. More classy you also can dance your units. Make sure your opponent does see it.
14 - Once you're out of game, check his rank, if he is any lower then you bm him about his race (or the matchup if you are playing a mirror match) being skilless and so easy to play that even players like them can beat good players. If they are higher then your rank, just tell them how they have no life and you are too busy getting laid or some other excuse like that.

MMA style manner sensor towers... just build them all next to each other so your opponent gets to see lots of circles on their minimap.
