Hello,
Am looking for some advice on an issue that I am currently having.
Please view the screenshot below. Is it some problem at my side? As I'm currently having lag spikes on SEA/NA server. Used to have latency pretty similar(slightly better) than KR server.

I've also done a trace route to KR server and the readings seems fine.

Sorry the resolution is too small to read anything, and i also recommend you black out all your IPs when you upload in a higher quality.

could be a problem with your ISPs routers (from what i could see zoomed in at 4 billion percent).

Although I can't see the picture at all, can you provide some basic information like are you sharing this internet with other people/housemates? What ISP are you with? If it's only a recent issue, have you contacted your ISP to see if it's a problem on their end?

I'm from Brunei and we only have one ISP.
Nope, it's not shared and its direct from modem to my pc.

Hmm.. I tried playing on the Tw/Kr server. My trace route seems fine with 90~ ms latency but somehow when i go in game it lags so much? What possible error could there be ?

Is it some sort of settings that need to be done at my side ?

For some rounds, i get smooth games and sometimes unplayable due to some serious lag spikes. This happen to me on both SEA and KR server.

But there don't seem to be any problem at all while playing other game such as LoL as I went through many rounds without any lag issue.

It might just be that your ISP has a circuitous route to singapore like optus does here in australia. If Brunei only has one ISP then there is nothing to be done about it. Try testing the ping to other singapore addresses.

I've actually been experiencing higher latency than normal on SEA for the past month. I used to have absolutely zero latency on SEA and never had lag issues ever in sc2.. all of a sudden a bit over a month ago SEA has become quite laggy for me.

Could be coincidence or it could be bnet issues.

Who knows.

What doubt me is that sometimes there isn't any lag for that particular game, I will get smooth play throughout it but then there are cases where it lags so much up front.

And these happens in sort of different stages.. lol. Don't even really know where the problem is.

yeah sea is almost unplayably laggy for me too - on optus adsl2

It's been pretty much established that people with Optus as an ISP have terrible ping to SEA but can play on NA just fine.

it seemed okay for me when I played on there with a guest pass. The occasional spike but in general it seemed only a little worse than NA and a fair bit better than SEA...

I get REALLY bad 2-3 second spikes every now and then, and i lose a fair amount of packets, but in terms of actual ping, maybe 300 - 500.
