Personality Test!

Feeling bored? This test takes about 10-15 mins to do and will probably give you an accurate analysis of your personality type and life. Thanks EscapisT for giving me the link!

I normally can't be bothered by tests like these because they end up being nonsense and just a waste of time to do. However with this one I found it to be extremely accurate. Even the "negative" stuff I didn't like to hear, I mostly agree with. I'm also curious about the various types you people have!

Try it out here http://www.personalityonline.com/tes....html?testid=2

25% of people end up being 8s wow!

Click the image to open in full size.

Post your results / result description when you're done! I'm just gonna highlight what I felt was most accurate with mine. Am pretty sure Dox is going to be a type 8 too and perhaps even Benji lol! Side note: I was previously into finance and now do entrepreneurial stuff. Although i could have been a type 7 easily too, just 4% off.

The table below shows you your overall results next to the words you used to describe how you felt at the time of taking the tests. For details of what each type means you can read the descriptions for each type

Type 1 Type 2 Type 3 Type 4 Type 5 Type 6 Type 7 Type 8 Type 9
1 (Overall) 60% 57% 61% 59% 54% 60% 69% 73% 66%

The table below shows you your overall results next to the words you used to describe how you felt at the time of taking the tests.

Date / Time Type How you felt
1 Overall 8 N/A

TYPE EIGHT: THE BOSSES

Eight's need to be powerful to make their own way in life. They are motivated to maintain territorial control over anything that can influence their lives and by the desire to stay on top in any power struggle Of all the Enneagram types, they are the most openly aggressive. They are dominant figures both at work and at home.

They enjoy being strong and judge others according to whether those others are strong or weak. They also enjoy confronting others, and are even willing to take on the whole power structure if they feel a need for radical change. Eight's are courageous and will crusade for what they believe in. They bring abundant energy to meeting challenges at work or elsewhere.

They are "natural leaders." Their overwhelming self-confidence is contagious and can generate in others the energy that is necessary to accomplish monumental tasks.

Possible Origins. Eight's survived their childhood by taking a tough personal stand. Their world felt dominated by bigger, stronger people who wanted to control their lives. The child struggled against a sense of unfair odds and survived by any form of confrontation that would make enemies back down. They gained respect from peers for not crying, for not showing weakness, and for winning fights. They quickly found that it was more fun to break the rules than it was to try to keep them.

Flawed Eight's. Although they often become leaders, the preoccupation with power and control tarnishes their leadership qualities. They are better as entrepreneurs and as such are plentiful in the business world. They are interested in making the money that allows them to control their own fates. And they like the business arena which offers them the opportunity to exercise power. They often alienate potential sources of help, pressing other people's sore spots without recognizing the damage, or feeling the need to say the worst to someone for his or her own good --INTUITIVE TACTLESSNESS.

Well-Adapted Eight's are able to get beyond control and to place their considerable powers in the service of a goal or goals outside themselves. They retain their characteristic confidence, but have learned the virtue of restraint in exercising power. They are seen as deserving of the loyalty they inspire and, in this mode, they can excel at making a beneficial difference for large numbers of people. They have immense capacity for continuous pressure and follow-through on a project.

Occupations. Eight's are attracted to the world of business, to high finance, and to the political arena, often achieving quite high status. They also make good entrepreneurs and "transformational leaders."

Finding Oneself:
Eight's probably will agree with most of the following statements:
  • I am very good at standing up and fighting for what I want.
  • I have difficulty with compromise.
  • I am not afraid to confront other people and I do confront them.
  • I enjoy the exercise of power.
  • I am an aggressive, self-assertive person.
  • l know how to get things done.
  • I get bored easily and like to keep moving.
  • Justice and injustice are key issues for me.
  • Generally, I don't care much for introspection or too much self-analysis.
  • I think of myself as a non-conformist.

i got 5, alot of the questions seemed kind of similar, personally i find the Myers-briggs test to be the go-to (I'm an ENFP)

But this one was still pretty accurate (I think?)

I got 83% in 5, and like 30% in 3, the rest were all in the 70%range

A lot of the questions seem to be rather repetitive...

Apparently I'm a Type One: Perfectionist. Some bits are accurate, overall though I don't think it describes me terribly well.

I got Type 6

+ [TYPE SIX: THE TROOPER] +

Sixes need security and they look for that security in loyalty to someone or something outside themselves. They want boundaries within which to operate, rules to follow, an authority figure to whom they can give their allegiance. The rules or structure reduce uncertainty, as does loyalty. Because they are so dependent on the expectations of others, they live with a greater amount of anxiety than other types. Sixes are sensitive to the possibility of worst case outcomes and so tend to imagine the worst, without realizing that they have not paid equal attention to imagining the best.
Possible Origins. Sixes report that they were raised by authorities who were untrustworthy. Lack of trust commonly centered on punishment or humiliation by parents, particularly when the parents were unpredictable and erratic in how they dealt with the child. Sixes learned to hesitate, to check out danger signals, to figure out the authority's position, before they made a move themselves. The common theme is that of a child who felt unprotected, without a safe place to go.

Flawed Sixes are uncomfortable with acting independently. They prefer being told what to do; they are more comfortable as followers than as leaders, even when obedience is not in their own (or their group's) best interests. They expect obedience and loyalty not only from themselves but also from others in the group of which they are part. They are excessively cautious, especially in winning situations.

As managers, when faced with a tough decision, they slow down and let details slide drastically. They defer to authority and likewise expect their own subordinates to defer to them: "I had to do it, now you have to do it." Cold, aloof Sixes will be seen as slave drivers: others will be seen as paternalistic. They are not particularly trusting of other people's good intentions and are always searching for the hidden motive.

Well-adapted Sixes are those who have come to know and respect their own value. They have found a personal worth that comes from within rather than from some outside authority figure. They retain the appealing qualities that enable them to form close relationships and are now able to express deep feelings in these relationships. They bring with them a healthy version of their ability to take direction.

As managers they become independent-minded in relations upward, and more tolerant of independent thinking and action on the part of their subordinates. They learn to question the status quo and become more open-minded toward new ideas or toward values that differ from their own. They are highly productive and bring out similar behavior in their subordinates. They make excellent leaders in the loyal opposition position.

Occupations. Sixes can be tremendous assets in business because they are extremely hard workers and because they are loyal and dependable Sixes can perform well as executives because of their devotion to the organization and strong sense of responsibility, but they may do best if they operate within a framework As executives, they can make an excellent '2 person, even in the highest levels They may not, however, be effective as the top person Hierarchical environments with clearly defined lines of authority and clearly defined problem areas are attractive to Sixes.

Finding Oneself.

Sixes probably will agree with most of the following statements.
It's easy for me to identify with underdog causes.
Loyalty to a group is very important to me.
I often look for hidden meaning in other people's behavior.
I take a long time to make up my mind because I need to explore the options fully.
Sometimes I get caught in "nonstop taking" talking and analysis replace acting.
I like to be very sure where other people stand before acting.
I often tend to operate out of a sense of duty and responsibility.
I sometimes think that I run on a negative memory track.
I prefer to have things scheduled rather than open-ended.
It bothers me that I may outdo my parents.

I am a Type Four

+ [TYPE FOUR: THE ROMANTIC] +

Fours have a strong need to understand themselves and to express that understanding aesthetically. In their drive for self-understanding they may become self-absorbed and self-conscious. Fours frequently feel different from others. Fours unconsciously focus their attention on the finer points of what is missing, so that by comparison, what is available seems to lack appeal. Fours thrive on being important in the lives of other people, especially important people.
Possible Origins. Fours often had a rather solitary, frequently unhappy childhood. They felt abandoned by one or both parents and consequently turned inward for gratification. They grew up feeling alone and carried this aloneness into adulthood.

Flawed Fours. Fearful of being misunderstood or hurt if they express themselves directly, Fours may turn to artistic fields to communicate. If they are unable to express themselves, they become shy, painfully self-conscious and afraid of social interaction. Unhealthy Fours block out desires and expectations-so they will not be hurt when their desires are not fulfilled and their expectations are not met. Fours compete with peers for the respect of grand authority.

Well-Adapted Fours have learned to love others in spite of the fact that they themselves have felt unloved. Of all the types, they are most in touch with their inner feelings. They deceive themselves, and others, less than any other type. And freed of their potentially crippling self-consciousness, creativity can take free rein, often with quite spectacular results. Their sensitivity to the feelings and needs of others and their regard for individuality make them excellent parents, friends, and therapists.

Occupations. The need to express their special nature leads Fours to be poets, musicians, actors, and artists. They are also original in the way they shape their environment as well as in the way they express their feelings. Fours are uncommon among managers, but they may be a manager's secondary type. As managers they can see extraordinary possibilities in a common business situation. They can channel their creative energies into starting up a new, unique organization.

Finding Oneself:

Fours will probably agree with most of statements:
I have the sense of something missing from life.
I try to look casual and natural.
I have always had an attraction for symbolism.
People don't feel as deeply as I do.
I like to do things properly and with class.
My environmental surroundings are very important to me.
It's easy for me to distinguish between "the best," and "the best known."
I don't like to think of myself as being ordinary or having an ordinary problem.
I find myself swinging back and forth between highs and lows. Either I'm very up or very down, I don't feel very alive when I'm in the middle.
People have accused me of being overly dramatic, but they really don't understand how I feel.

I like how the damn thing says I like artistic things (which is completely true, my house has a lot of artwork which my family as a whole, enjoy too) and a romantic (I go all out for ya lovely lasses ) and that im better off doing artsy stuff and im about to do a very sciencey career... -_-

There are some links to online Myer Briggs tests here, but I never did one, just read the descriptions and decided which I was for each pair, then googled the end result...

I'm a type 2, according to the graph, the least common personality. Personally i don't find it too accurate, but close enough

Twos are driven by a need to be loved, to be needed, to be appreciated. To get that love, they express love and devotion more freely than most: they become helpers," interested in the welfare of others, and in doing things for others.
Their love, however, is not truly free; they expect repayment. Often they establish dependency relationships which art in effect, a form of bribery to get the love they so badly need. Twos are usually unwilling, even unable, to acknowledge that all their efforts to please and gratify are motivated by their own strong needs for love and approval.

Possible origins. Twos were the children who were loved for being pleasing. They quickly recognized the qualities in themselves that were appealing to the different adults in their lives and learned to put on a performance that met those needs. Another common scenario is reported by Twos whose sensitivity to the needs of others developed because they had to support their parents emotionally. Others recognized the manipulative possibilities of becoming indispensable and loved, and used their seductive abilities to extract what they needed from other people.

Flawed Twos become too involved, over-extend themselves in the service of too many good causes, befriend and advise too many people and wind up feeling burdened and physically worn out. They may feel that they are not properly valued. Twos are attracted to power and do not waste time developing relationships with those below. The need for love can degenerate into a need to control, expressed in the form of manipulation. Twos are masters at creating guilt in others while maintaining their own righteous positions. They may martyr themselves, ostensibly putting themselves in the service of others while unconsciously resenting those others.

As managers they will alter temperamentally, at times wanting to be liked by employees, at times feeling burdened by their presence.

Well-Adapted Twos, those who have learned to love without necessarily being loved in return, are unselfish, considerate, and genuinely loving. They are altruistic and frequently serve real needs in the world. They will be found serving on fund-raising committees, working with charitable organizations. On a personal level they are compassionate, thoughtful, and ready to help.

Well-adapted Twos see the potentials in people. They are sensitive to bringing a new person into the group. They draw people out. They also become capable of accepting anger in themselves when it occurs and using it as a basis for asserting their own needs. They stop cloaking themselves in selfless and powerless virtue, and free themselves to use power directly. They become less likely to do a slow burn and more likely to surface problems as they arise.

Occupations. Typical occupations are social services and philanthropic endeavors of all sorts. As managers, they might very well gravitate to human resources and training, or organization development. Attractive environments include any situation of assisting or associating with a powerful leader.

Finding Oneself:

Twos will probably agree with most of the following statements:
Many people depend on my help and generosity.
I take more pride in my service of others than in anything else.
I need to feel important in other people's lives. I like people to need me.
I seem to have personal radar for the detection of moods and preferences of others.
Each of my friends brings out a different part of me.
I am attracted to difficult relationships.
I don't feel that I have that many needs.
I believe that gaining approval is equal to gaining love.
When I have time off, I frequently spend it helping others.
Having a sense of personal freedom is very important to me.

So a combination of 7/8 which seems pretty spot on if you ask me ^^ also I scored a 28% in the romantic column HAI LADIES!!!!!!

Sevens have a fear of being deprived, of being in pain. They tend to be lighthearted and sunny, often addicted to planning and play. Sevens are buoyed by a belief that life is unlimited -- there are always interesting things to do.

Possible origins. Faced with a frightening early life, Seven children diffused their fear by escaping into the limitless possibilities of imagination. They have pleasant memories of their childhood years. Even with an objectively bad scenario, there is little residue of hatred or blame. The skew of attention is toward positive memory. By moving toward pleasure and away from pain, they tend to remember the best.

Flawed Sevens can allow their appetites to get out of control. This is characterized by a bodily hunger for excitement and experience. Sevens have a gourmet taste for experience, little tastes of the very best, rather than an overdose of a single experience meal. Typically they cannot stand inactivity. They stay active, but that activity is not necessarily productive: it has a restless quality about it. They delight in making plans for the future but are not good at following through on them.

As managers, they may introduce fascinating but conflicting options. They don't like to give and enforce direct orders. They try to make everyone feel like an equal participant in order to eliminate the possibility of confrontation.

Well-Adapted Sevens get over their intense fear of being deprived. Instead of consuming life, they learn to contemplate it, to plumb the depths of experience rather than to merely skim its surface. They overcome their wariness of others sufficiently to form, selectively, close and long-term attachments. They stick with tasks and occupations long enough to do them justice. Their enthusiasm and pleasure they take in what they do is infectious. Sevens are sought after for their enthusiasm and vitality and for their desire to share the enjoyment they feel.

They bring an optimism to their work, and once they get engaged they can get a lot done and take contagious pleasure in their accomplishment. At their best, they are highly productive generalists, talented in a variety of areas. Precocious as children, they grow up to be especially intelligent and multi-talented. They may settle successfully into roles in which they can apply their abundant practical intelligence to executing short-run plans or exploring new territory.

Occupations. The entertainment field is filled with Sevens, both well-adapted and flawed. Sevens are often editors, writers, or storytellers. As managers, they are the jacks-of-all-trades, knowledgeable and skilled in a number of areas. Because they learned at a young age to fend for themselves, they are survivors who are good people to have around when an organization is having trouble keeping its head above water. They are planners and synthesizers and idea gatherers.

Finding Oneself:
Sevens will probably agree with most of the following statements:

I tend to make things interesting, to make things nice.
There are very few things in life which I can't enjoy.
I usually look on the bright side of things and don't look for the negative side of life.
"I must be defective if I need help."
People say I'm often the life of the party.
I often feel stuck and bored with commitment -- I like to keep my options open.
I tend to be very enthusiastic about the future.
I seem to be attached to youth and energy.
Most of the time I avoid getting into really "heavy" issues.
I find myself expressing anger by making fun of the problem.
