My first game that I played was Ragnarok Online, that game is my childhood game. That game brings back so much memories when I watch the youtube videos
Ultima online...not really my game, my friends elder brother had it,and were trying our best to mess his character, for about 15 minutes lol.
The first game I tried was seriously WoW, there were a few guys who were ragnarok crazy, but wow interested me because it was by blizzard, decided it was not my thing and have never played an mmo since then.
This one time (gosh this was when I was 9 or something) I was minding my own business and killing goblins, and some guy starts following me and he says "wanna go to the black forest?" and I'm like "what's the black forest?" and he's like "follow me". So I follow him. And he leads me all the way to the wildy, and goes in.
While I'm on the follow command, there's a pop up that says something like "are you sure you wish to enter the wilderness, people fight each other here". So I say "what's this wilderness thing" and he's like "dw about the warning, just follow me". So I follow him.
He leads me to around level 20 of the wildy and then he suddenly attacks me. And I'm literally shocked in real life and I say "what are you doing". When he doesnt stop hitting me I start to panic and run, I'm literally shitting myself in real life (okay not literally). I'm spamming right click with all of my heart, but since I'm wearing armour and he isn't, he runs faster than me and ends up killing me.
I wake up in Lumbridge with nothing, and I message him "why did you do that!?!?" and he's like "HAHAHAHAHA"
It was terrible. I was actually devastated. I couldn't believe that I lost my full iron WHICH I MINED AND SMELTED MYSELF.
Erghh. Never trusted anyone online again after that.
My first MMORPG was Dream Of Mirror Online, a fantasy Chinese/Asian themed MMO where you can change into multiple jobs/classes. I started playing on my local server until a couple of months later the server got closed.
After that I googled this MMORPG I always wanted to play since I was a little kid called "Ragnarok Online" and found it's Indonesian Version. I played on a free server called Fun and Chat which was filled with bots. Lots and lots of bots.
Then my younger brother told me about an Indonesian Ragnarok Online private server that has a high EXP/Job EXP multiplier.
I was interested, so I made an account and played it until I got really addicted to it so much that I didn't even bothered studying for the National Exams. I was like : "No, screw the test, I need to collect more Soft Feathers so that I can make my Feather Beret.". Even though I passed the national exams, my scores weren't up to my standards (I have somewhat high standards).
That decision was the second greatest regret of my life so far.
my first MMO was asheron's call. me and my brothers shared one account so we'd take turns playing it. the computer was literally never off. one time i even caught my brother asleep in front of the computer with the game on. lol.
Cabal Online ftw!!! I totally miss that game. Was soooo fun! (for me atleast) I didn't have an IC at that time so I used my bro's acc which I didn't have access to unless he was there. Which isn't cool, but hey, it was fun while it lasted
neopets (although mine always died.... on purpose..)runescape, then I played eve online for a while (looked so mind blowing in the trailers), then I gave wow a try and wasn't a fan, then guild wars and now swtor.
Obv runescape then WoW (after having my entire childhood taken up by Age of empires (the conquerors expansion) and CS 1.6
wasn't going to play another MMO until i saw Tera (would like to get a beta first before i decide on if i want to buy though so hopefully i get a beta for it the Graphs look awesome and don't mind the action style.
Runescape for about 2 hours in total
Tribal Wars (I guess it's an mmo, think of a mix between Age of Empires and Football Manger)
WoW since BC (quit twice, once for 9 months after the release of WotLK and again in about December last year, haven't played it since)
First mmo i played was runescape I believe but I also played tons of asian mmos helbreath , lineage , prinstontales to name a few. WoW was my drug of choice until swtor came out which I am currently playing but getting abit bored of.
My mate and I use to host our own helbreath server (got a copy of the source code and edited it) which I hosted on my pc from home haha , use to get upto 100~ people online at once. My mate added features that only the asian clients had and re did the integers so we could go upto level 800 and allow for higher value stats than the original client.
Runescape, i remember when i was like 7 and my brother and I woke up at 3am to play it, and when my dad came out cause he heard a sound, i pretended i had a bad dream about whales eating everyone
It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

Back in my day we didnt have fancy pants MMORPGs.We just had MUDs Multi User Dungeons. Still to this day the MUD I use to play was my most enjoyable gaming experience outside of table top D&D. As far as actually called MMORPGs when I broke my wrist so figured text based games where not the best idea to continue to play I gave World of Warcraft a go. Sadly wow will never have the same effect of a MUD because it can not be altered due to an individual actions damn I miss running secret cabals etc. How ever with my current time usage I just dont have the hours to sink into building an epic story I use too.
The only mmorpg and probably the last one that I will ever play was "Scions of Fate". I am amazed that people actually grind for hours to get gold coins/exp or fancy stones. For me it is just a waste of time unfortunately, would prefer to actually work at the worst job in the world than play mmorpg.
Ragnarok first MMORPG I played, never really got into it heaps though to be honest! Only fully levelled one character a ninja and got help from friends haha, too lazy to farm for xp for hours myself
Runescape then WoW... Then runescape, then cabal online, then runescape... I play it ocassionaly now, however i have noone to play with so it occurs once every 2 months for about an hour :P.
Runescape, then MU onlinne, then fake MU online servers, got bling bling and insane skill resets with innsane maps that the KR version had which most other versions did not.
Then got into WoW, and no more WoW, and then WoW, and then no more WoW, and then WoW again and currently quit WoW unless next expansion is good!
Runescape... but more notably because I played it for a veryyyyy long period of time was an MMORPG made by Joymax called: Silkroad. pretty much spent my childhood on that game...
Would have to be Runescape, best free MMORPG to date IMO, i don't play it anymore though, i also bought WoW but ended up playing it for 1 weekend so i havn't bought another subscription
Pirates of the Burning Sea, about a week after launch. There was a decent Aussie following. The game had great potential but development and support let it down.
