Some interesting results thus far this week -

VB_sober soldiers [4] def Fusion Slugs [2] - BenAD leading Fusion Slugs by example and taking the ace game for himself. this is a great result for VB, as they will now be sitting on the 4 point barrier. they have some work to do to get through the 7 and then 10 point mark, but if they can string two solid weeks together, suddenly they are in the hunt. Having had the bye also, VB can focus on the remainder of the season

TA [4] def FaDe [1]. with 1 still to play Chadmann's run in tight situations continues, as if he had lost to welshy, it would be 3-2 with 1 to play ono Saturday. Minimat and edarus are solid as always. Fade have gotta be a little disappointed with the result, but both Welshy and FaDeMuss taking a game off their TA opponent is a really good sign for the rest of the season. espectially Muss, as he was 1 league down against his opponent

TCP [3] tied with ToR [3] While congratulations must go to both teams for gettting points this week, i cant help but feel a touch let down. I had picked the winner of this match to be the dark horse for the rest of the season, the one that could possibly make the frontrunners very nervous. But then they tied. Where does that leave my prediction? I have no idea. Looking at the table, ToR moves to a very respectable 4 points, while TCP is on 2 points, right in the middle of the glut that is the bottom 6. Further, neither team has had the bye yet this season. While only the rest of the season can tell, this might have been the match that stopped both teams seasons dead in their tracks - as they both really needed the three points to kickstart their season

Good performances - Navic - he beat me when Zerocraft played TCP, this guy is a beast. Without looking through the results, i can think of maybe 1 match he hasnt won. what a guy
Zandarax & JoFritzMD waving the banner for ToR, really winning the matches when it counts. None of this would be possible without JoFritz (grats on promotion to Plat), and it is great that he is actually performing in our league.

Zerocraft [3] v QED Krnn & Co Pty Ltd [2] STILL IN PROGRESS This match is finely poised, with QED's superstar ace, Jenkins, taking down one of our best Mazei in a great ZvZ game. I know after talking to Mazei, he is not feeling great about the loss and wanted to bring this one home for Zerocraft.

However, the rest of the Zerocraft team stood up, with the ever solid Spazznx and Arnor. and a guy that is developing a bit of a reputation in our team Betasoo, the Korean living in New Zealand. In the last three weeks, this guy has been Ace twice, and the 4th player once. He has played 2 pvps as ace, and got the very solid Schnitzel last night. BeTasoo's game score after the 3 matches: 6-0. what a guy! he is dragging this Zerocraft team up the ladder with every match he plays.

And then there was one game. Rythos vs Krrn . Now i dont want to pressure the players (who am i kidding, yes i do), but it all comes down to this one. Rythos wins, Zerocraft get 3 points. Krrn win, QED come away with a great draw given the game score from the first 4 matches.

This tier is seriously the best. I have decided i am going to donate a 1 month subscriptions to The Grandmaster Manual to a player at the end of the season. They may not be the highest ranked player, but it will be a guy that has played a lot and tried hard and posted good results. They may not be the MVP of the league or anything, but i want to find someone who has potential who loves tier 5 with potential to go higher. Chad or Maynarde you keen to give me a hand picking this towards the end of the season?

Is anyone else willing to put in some prizes, maybe something for the MVP of the finals etc?

There are some amazing players out there in this league, I've had really great games so far with all my opponents.

lol Vol Betasso has only played twice (once as Ace :P) I think you're including his awesome performance in SEACC!

Im really enjoying the league, the ex-clanless guys are great and friendly additions like Betasso and DoT really make it enjoyable to log onto SCII more often (and Im obsessed with Heroes VI atm)

Interesting fun fact

there are only 4 players on the ZC that have made 3 appearances

Spazznx, Arnor, Etheryu and Rythos (who still has to play this weeks match)

suprisingly Spazz, myself and Etheryu are all 3-0(6-1) while Rythos is currently on 2-0(4-0) im predicting Rythos to win 2-1 in a very tight series!

Anyway props to MaynMann for admining this awesoem league, looking over how some of the other tiers are running atm this one seems to be running the smoothest (which is a great accomplishment by everyone but hats off to MaynMann for keeping us )

P.S. You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Volition again.

Hey man, Firstly.. Great write up! Glad your so enthusiastic about the league!!

And as far as selecting a winner for TGM, I'd suggest that each team manager nominate a 'Most Improved' player from their team.. for example, for my team last season, that was Incognito (he started the season in bronze, and finished in gold and soon after got Platinum)... Doesn't need to be the player that has climbed the most leagues, but someone that has put in an effort at practice, maybe its the bronze that is asking all the plats for practice games!? what ever it is, I'd suggest you get each team manager to nominate a 'Most improved' and then you can judge - if you want Maynarde and I to help you out I'm sure we can give you a hand!

Even though I'm thankful that you didn't take the w/o against marine, I'm pretty disapointed that after 1 hour you go for the w/o, especially after I wait for my match (I know I rescheduled it) and I was prepared to wait until your player came on (I told chad or edarus that I didn't want the w/o and I would wait) and we let you sub in a player even though you already had.

This isn't supposed to be a I MUST ******* WIN THIS tournament and you shouldn't be thinking in that way.

Believe me this is not they way I think, yes we are competitive, but you have a completely incorrect impression of myself and FaDe.

I am very disappointed in the knee-jerk reactions by people who are not fully informed of the situation. I thought this had been put bed but I visit here today and see this. I took my issues to the admin channel, including a 2 hour chat at 1am in the morning with Edarus, where it was resolved.

Edarus and I came to an amicable solution to the situation and we have both moved on, on good terms. There is no need to reignite the issue with mis-information.

I do apologise if anything anyone has said from my team has offended any members of the league as that was not the intention as I understand it.
The team has been worded up about the situation and as Rezyn said we did discuss the issue at length and came to a resolution we both agreed was the most fair on both teams given the circumstances, and as he said without any bad blood.

So chill bros and hos, and enjoy the rest of the season!
