we've just closed on our new house and as of tomorrow night the Internet here will be disconnected in preparation for connecting the new place - could be a week or so before its connected and up and running.

Potentially back next week. We just set up Vividwireless (a 4G provider). We got the little pocket wifi hotspot thing and the connection is pretty good - 4-5mbps downstream and 0.6-1mbps upstream with around 60ms ping to Perth servers and around 250 to Singapore.

My desktop PC doesn't have a wifi card though, and my laptop is only barely able to play SC2, and not at all on ladder because it chugs too hard.

This weekend we're going down to upgrade the wifi hotspot modem to a full home gateway (with a bigger antenna and presumably even better signal) and getting a wifi adaptor for my desktop. Once thats done I should be (mostly) ready to go.
