Hi guys, let me introduce myself. I'm carrottt and playing under Team tDp & Friends in tier 2. It's my first time posting in the forums on this website, so do forgive me if i make any mistakes k.

nirvana -> i think the idea for all the teams to submit theirline ups 24/48hours before matchday is great. However, after looking through the threads for T1,T2 and this thread, i'm still confused over the whole system and have some questions to ask.

<b> 1) 24 hrs/ 48hrs. </b>

Would it be more clear to state

Tier 1 (Matchday on Tuesday) -> Saturday 2359 (this is 48 hours before tuesday)
Tier 2-5 (Matchday on Tuesday) -> Sunday 2359 (24 hours before tuesday)

I would think this makes the timings much clearer to all parties!


<b> 2) Submit lineups to who? </b>

Pardon me if i'm wrong, but I havent seen anywhere on the forums about how do we submit our lineups. I dont think posting it on the forums under the respective weekly threads for each tier (eg. SEAPL T1 Week 1 thread) should be the way to go. This is because the team that submits first loses out. The oppposing team can just snipe the team by strategically putting their players on certain maps.

I suggest that there should be some private message to the respective tier admins.. and that the admins post/upload the matchups itself.


<b> 3) Request for tier 2 to have their matchups appear a day before, submit lineups at least 48 hours before </b>

Like what was mentioned, i think it's good to have some 'hype' about the matchups before the matchday itself. In addition, players are able to better prepare against the opposing team if the matchups are known earlier. This will allow a higher quality of games to be played, as both players will practice their specific matchup on the specific map (eg. TvP on first map Shattered Temple)

I do agree that there is a time difference between the actual matchday and the timing of the sumission of lineups, and that this might lead to several walkovers. However, I believe that all teams should have a certain amount of system/discipline to ensure that their players are able to make it. In addition, if the player is unable to turn up, it might force the team to unwillingly use their joker instead. It should also be noted that the lower tier teams have more jokers too.

I would to hear what the other teams in tier 2 think about this idea. Maybe we should gather and have a poll on when should we submit our lineups and when should the matchups be released. I believe most of us would want to have proper practice and such.

For the teams in the other tiers, feel free to voice out your opinions.
