Hey guys
As some of you may or may not know I'm an admin for the ESL in SEA

And next year we are thinking of changing our map pool to introduce some new maps and make things a bit more interesting... So what I would like is some feedback from the community (You awesome people) about what are good maps that you'd like to see us use.

This is just a thread for ideas of maps that I can present to the higher ups later on, In no way am i promising that a map suggested will defs get selected or anything like that.

So if you can gimme map names (balanced ones are preferrable) that would be cool =) I'll take a looksie and pass on suggestions

The maps we currently use are these:
ESL Shakuras Plateau, ESL Xel'Naga Caverns, ESL The Shattered Temple, ESL Metalopolis, ESL Tal'darim Altar, ESL Terminus SE, ESL Neo Enigma, GSL Crevasse, GSL Xel'Naga Fortress

noone ever likes neo enigma lol so that'll probably go...

Antiga with cross spawns only is pretty good.
Several of the TLMC maps look great too, as do Calm Before the Storm and Bel Shir Beach (either version).

If we're adding Bel'shir Beach, go with the winter version, much better than original imo.

get rid of neo enigma, crevasse, fortress ( i hear its imba>?), Terminus horrid for ZvP and also xel naga horrid for ZvT

all those maps listed r good, daybreaks is nice and that one map off TL map making contest is nice too

How about some people suggest map pools? they have to have 9 maps in them and a variety of big and small is good. rather than just a few maps here and there. This will give me a look at which maps everyone kinda likes

i like this map pool without belshir beach, horrible map.

What about some new maps that havn't been played to death. Why not take a risk with some of the new maps.... eg SC2 Season 5 Maps?

And @Maverick, no Arid Plateau is a wellknown retarded map full of chokes and abuse spots (e.g. natural's alternate entrance) . Haven't played much on Entombed Valley though.

Not either of the new Blizz maps, Arid Plateau is full of abuse-able positions and Protoss 3Base and Bunker Rushing are broken on Entombed Valley, making it near impossible for a Zerg to win there.

I'd personally put in a map from the TL mapmaking contest, either Cloud Kingdom or Ohana. Also Ithaca from ESV.

ok some good suggestions =) I will look at them all for next year and see what the other admins think at ESL =)
Please feel free to add more map pool ideas as you see fit as I'll keep an eye on this thread for awhile until we come out with our new map pool
