It was actually a case of "the stream is already live and games are underway, I don't have time to troubleshoot it right now." :P

I discovered what the problem was. Long story short is that I had a second monitor set up via HDMI, which screwed up Windows 7's "soundboard", and xsplit couldn't pick up my skype conversation. I have since then, tested all of my new settings and streamlined the cast as much as possible. It now all works. >.>

Essentially it seems that Skype decided to nominate my Plasma TV as it's output source, rather than my headset. It's weird, it's never done this before, but it makes perfect sense. I bet if I turned the volume up on the TV, I'd be able to hear Maynarde. Shouldn't be a problem tonight - I just don't have much time to test things out between getting home from work and firing up the stream.
