I have noticed a few streamers have been swapping from twtich.tv/justin.tv over to own3d.tv, Does anyone know why this sudden change has occurred?

Whatever the reason, the change is annoying as own3d's chat is useless.

I've heard that own3d gives you more money per view per ad. But it's all rumour.

I think there's a lot of lag issues popping up on twitch so streamers are switching over.

actually there is no real difference between the chats as both use irc
own3d chat much better if you prefer to use a mirc client

Also the ad thing is true
both have problems imo but own3d is the original game streaming site and some locations are able to stream better to own3d than twitch

more money i've heard as much as 50% more (but you get like 75% more adds) (fkn 3 adds in a row about fkn business man mr benett is really annoying)

own3d.tv pays $3 per 1000 viewers for each commercial, twitch pays $2/1000 viewers afaik

Also BsK, the number of ads played is up to streamer not the site
they can select to play 1,2 or 3 ads
