I have been giving it a lot of thought lately and have been coming up with some ideas to make this idea successful at least in the early stages of its development.
- The first "NZ Cup" will be held around early January (Date to be confirmed)
- I've had this idea, that maybe the event may be able to run monthly, bearing some resemblance to the GSL in that respect.
- Prizes/Rewards: Well in the initial NZ Cup im going to look to secure some funding for a prize pool. Donations kindly accepted to get this event running (:, but maybe I myself can sponsor a "NZ Rep" Shirt or something, depends if in broke again or not. Stupid cashflow crisis.
- As to format, I have considered the idea of running the tournament similar to a Possible round robin od even SEACOL Master Division. I still meed to confirm.
More details to be revealed, if those interested could post their details in the following format:
- ID and CC: Spartaz, 780
- Race and Division:
- Location: Auckland
Plus i would like to know the avaliability of you guys, also NZ casters shout out please or PM me. Thanks for being patient guys means a lot.
Well the laptop is back tomorrow that means ill spend all of my time tomorrow night establishing the NZ Cup officially. Because I can actually format it on my laptop properly, iPod takes way too long to type faaaaar.
Hey so what would be the go of watching this and replays? Also I love the idea of round robin stuff. SC2 needs more elongated seasons so we can watch a player develop through the season. Probably too ambitous for this project, but somebody needs to start doing some NRL style stuff, fortnightly matches or something, everyone plays everyone twice, followed by a finals seasons. Not a new idea I know, but stilll one that hasn't taken off in SC2 that I'm aware of.
Tonight I may try to get back into shape in terms of my play, and later on. Ill do some threading. By tonight ill post the official thread for the Cup. Been slack since I got my laptop back ^^
