A couple of my favourites haven't been mentioned yet.. Did anyone play Link's Awakening? Probably my favourite 2D Zelda game (besides the almighty A Link to the Past of course). There was also the Oracle of Seasons/Ages games on GBC which were great fun too.
I think the Wind Waker is the only LoZ game I never actually completed.. Just seemed to tedious as mentioned earlier. I enjoyed it as all the normal LoZ elements were there, just the extra elements of the game kind of ruined it. Still worth while to play if you love all the others of course.
I think my order of love for these games would follow something like OoT > MM > aLttP > TP > LA > OoS/A > MC > Rest
Link's Awakening had a very melancholic feel to it. Perhaps the saddest Zelda game?
Oracle of Seasons and Ages were boss. I remember in primary school, me and my friend had one each, then when we beat them, you could swap to unlock the "final boss" (Hint: it was Ganon)

OMG spoilers bro, how are we supposed to know that Ganon was going to be the final boss!?!?!?!?
A Link to the Past makes me tear up when I hear the opening music, I have no idea why. I don't think I have replayed a game as much as I did that one. Ocarina of time was good, I don't recall enjoying any of the other games though. HEY LISTEN HEY HEY HEY.
Skyward sword looks decent though, I shall have to make some time for it (didn't even know about it before QQ).
I barely tolerated Wind Waker because I found the oceanic navigation to be very, very frustrating. Like if you miss your course just slightly, it's not a simple case of just turning around. You had to do like entire laps or teleport back to a previous checkpoint just to take another stab at it and long story short: it was not a fun or interesting gameplay element. The sailing was just annoying, the treasure finding was tedious. The game was "decent" if you just wanna play 100% linear and go from start to finish, but it wasn't as enthralling as the other titles which make you want to discover secrets.
I never got around to playing Spirit Tracks 'cos I was terrified that they'd do the same thing with a train...
Spirit Tracks was actually a fun game. The dungeons and puzzles (as well as the control scheme) was refined a lot from Phantom Hourglass, and the train sections, although simple and eventually a little boring, are much more linear and less time consuming compared to the WW sailing. That said though, I loved WW. Yes the sailing got a boring, especially by the big treasure hunt near the end, but I enjoyed the game overall despite that.
I'm going to get reamed for saying this I think, but I'm brave. Maybe stupid, we can consider that after. Here goes...
Majora's Mask > Ocarina of Time

Longer game, although MM had a ton of side quests (Time Journal system, collect masks etc) It was just more fulfilling to complete OoT than it was for MM.
Its hard to explain but I enjoyed the story line of OoT, got into it more and enjoyed playing the game all together than MM.
OoT just had more fun moments.
Shooting the arrow into the Sun for Fire Arrows (So proud of myself for figuring that out)
The infamous Water Temple
Triforce Tennis boss fight.
Trying to bomb the rolling Goron so he would talk to me.
Jabu Jabu's Belly, carrying that dumb bitch around.
Annoyingly slow King shuffle
I can count so many things I remember that were fun about that game, where as MM its just the Journal and transforming into things.

I just liked MM because of the story. I'm all about depth and immersion when it comes to playing video games and OoT just didn't draw me in like MM did. ah the good old days.

Just ended up putting in a preorder for Skyward Sword. 120 bucks for game + soundtrack + remote with motion plus integrated + free delivery is a pretty solid deal for me. Now I just can't afford to eat for a week or so t.t

Majora's Mask > Ocarina of Time
Definitely not stupid. Still, I have too much trouble deciding between these two games. They both meant different things to me, OoT being the first time I experienced Zelda in 3d, MM being possibly the most unique game in the whole series.

Finally some intelligent people (all of you, just quoted the last person for convenience),
Every time I became involved in discussions about Zelda with my group of friends ranging from school all the way into university, I would immediately get shut down by OoT fanatics who thought that it was the pinnacle of Zelda and wouldn't listen to any reasonable arguments on why the other games were just as (or better than) it.
Eventually they wore me down until I just stopped arguing for Majora's Mask and gave up lol.

Payed off the rest of my preorder today. My girlfriend is going to pick it up for me, and says she can wait till I get back from my trip to play it...but I doubt it!
