All the new units look great and I'm excited for the changes, but Blizzard is going to have to balance around a whole lot more situations and unit combinations.

I get the feeling the game might get a bit bloated after the protoss expansion. Or we'll just see a whole lot of creativity and diversity in play .

Your absolutely right, it does look like pudge's hook. I would love that ZvP, with the stupid infestor nerf, ill just pull all your collosi to me and then ill eat them alive... unless he recalls, then I will cry, haha. Also the Dota trailer is soooo funny hahaha,

I actually kinda hate the recall idea. Protoss is already this super mobile with warpgates(not saying that its OP but yeah, mobile). Having recall on you're nexus seems quite redundant.

New units looks cool. Seems like they're taking inspiration from the good ol' Brood War units and implementing it here. The Warhound = Improved Goliaths, Battle Hellion = Stronger Firebats, Shredders = Spider Mines(-ish, but reinforces the idea of a positional race). I could go on and on about the other units as well but overall I think the units being added and removed are quite good, as long as they work out the kinks. Viper's shouldn't have that hook ability, and basically function like a flying Defiler.

Yeah im really looking forward to using the viper, so many cool tactics you can use! I am slightly worried its gonna kinda be like wow how theres to much stuff for it to all synergize really well and be tactful but im sure blizzard will work it out. People were probably saying the same stuff about the new units they implemented into broodwar from vanilla SC and look how well that turned out ><. The new shit for wow looks kinda cool but i stopped playing shortly after cata came out so who really cares lol. And is the dota trailer a troll or something? We seriously dont need another MOBA game with hon/lol/dota/dota2 rofl

I think I might switch to zerg, the units are so cool. Feels like sc2 with a dash of broodwar stuff.

A little disappointed with the terran and the protoss units. Especially the protoss. The raider unit, is basically stasis for minerals and buldings, and it allows you to see what is being researched, I dont know, it doesnt seem as exciting, and allowing you to see what is researching is kinda meh, though useful.

I wonder why they had to remove the carrier,they could've actually buffed the carrier to serve the same role, and the replicant is another form of mind control. Recall is okay, but I would prefer recall to be an offensive spell, as opposed to a defensive one, like with arbiters. the nexus gun thing will make it easier to defend stuff like 6 pools, and maybe some possible harass early on, through manner pyloning .

The new expansion for Heart of Swam make play style more complicated and more multi-tasking due to add several new unit for every each race
That mean my APM also need to be increase to catch up the micro for incoming expansion

Even if things get changed from what we are seeing now, Heart of the Swarm is going to be a completely different game to Wings of Liberty. The strats, the gameplay, the mechanics, its all going to be different.

i would have thought that blizzard would have kept the game rather similar and made only some slight changes but this is a complete revolution.

now we have to go through the whole process of rebalance again. yay!

EDIT: oh right i was too excited and posted immediately after watching the first video... nirvana already stated this in the changes haha. but still! sounds awesome! haha!

I wonder if you can do some kind of chain Viper pull tactic, like you stagger your Vipers out with the lead Viper pulling the colussus within range of the 2nd, the 2nd pulling it within range of 3rd, etc. The purpose being to avoid the engagement entirely and just sac a Viper for a Colussus

Upgraded Hellions seem strong though, will make Hellion-Tank play in TvZ more common and you probably can't go lings anymore? -shrugs.
