The Intel Extreme Masters New York event is fast approaching, and ESLSEA is having an invitational tournament this weekend for a qualifier! 1 Player from South East Asia will qualify for the event through this tournament!
The tournament will be 16 players facing off against each other in the standard winners/losers bracket style. With a catch. We have a cut-off time of 10pm GMT +8. Games will then be resumed at 4pm GMT+8 and will continue until the cup is finished. All 16 players have already been sent their invites and we hope each and every one of them can make it.
Update : After checking with the IEM organization, SEA does not have any direct slot for NY, we have to share it with Asia. Therefore the 2 finalists will be qualified foe the Asia Finals to face Sen and Commitment on Tuesday, 6th October.
Be online on Friday and Saturday and watch KellyMILKIES cast the invitational of Australia’s best players, as they play off for a spot in another world-class tournament!

Juuuust giving you guys a friendly heads up, your viewers may drop DRAMATICALLY at 9pm when the Australian National Super Mario World Championships start ( http://www.sc2sea.com/showthread.php?t=2287 ).
If i was you guys i'd consider making your finish time at 9pm and then starting again the next day, rather than risk 0 viewers for your event. that is all.
i believe this is a few days before wcg au finals!!! so whoever wins this has to pay their own way to america and skip the wcg finals (unless you arent in it, but most are!)

Just doing some rough number crunching for those not in WCG, the flights from Sydney are looking around $1600-1700 return, minus the $600 you get from placing last you're looking at ~$1100, and that is before you add in a hotel, food, travel etc.
You'll also be required to leave in 14 days for the event.
Also if you go, you'll be in a group with Mana, TT1 and Pokebunny, no koreans which is a bonus :P
