if you dont like the music overpowering the alerts then turn the music down and the alerts up.

Yeah it does seem that most people with these FPS issues are using the Razer SC2 gear.

Menu, Options, Sound, set Alert Fade to 100% and it'll be exactly like it was pre-patch.

Thnx Villian! I've been wondering why my game was lagging since the new patch. Had no idea it was due to the Razer SC peripherals.

I'll have to fix those nasty Terrans! (Marauder/Spectre)

Yes I had a huge issue last night with it. About to polish off some guys army and then all of a sudden my screen just froze for about 5 seconds, when it unfroze all my collosi were down and i had marines and marauder surrounding what was left of my army.

I am not using the SC2 Razer gear, and i have still noticed a pretty large drop in FPS =(

I take my lunch break in an hour so I'll try enabling the APM lights again to see if it lags and then disable to see if it disappears. Basically I'll prove my theory/procedure.

My alert sounds are decreasing in volume when another alert comes in or i scroll away. And none of the sound options fix it, tried them all. Fucked.

I have the same. was pretty laggy...didn't have issues with internet so not sure. maybe it'll tease itself out over next few days

@djvillian: same thing happened to me, the FPS lag got way better after i disabled apm alerts and shit on my mouse, so for anyone running the Razer SC2 gear, you need to disable it

I couldn't quite replicate the fault but my banshee headset is lag spiking like crazy :/ and to make it worse my configurator doesn't recognize the headset when it's plugged in so I can't disable the APM alerts for that >.<

LOSWAR has the banshee headset and he said it is faulting for him as well so I have asked him to deselect the APM and alert boxes and let me know what happens. If anyone else is having problems with the audio spiking/lagging with your banshee headset can you try deselecting the options and letting us know here about the outcome?

I am having trouble with my audio system. After the patch, every time I start sc2, the audio switches to my laptop's audio for all my running apps. I have MSN and SC2 on at the same time. Any idea how to fix this problem? I changed the audio output devices to headphone but the sound is still coming out of my laptop.

I hate this new patch.
