Hi Guys,

I've been considering hosting a barcraft night in newcastle, new south whales and was wondering how many people would be willing to attend such an event?

Obviously I'd like to get some decent numbers before i went and organised everything otherwise it would just be awkward being the only guy not yelling at the bartenders to put the NFL back on :P

Anyways, look forward to hearing your responses.

have one in sydney and i'll come. Newcastle is way too far away, and I don't think has a very big starcraft 2 player base either.

Lets derail this thread Sydney Barcraft night, go out get hammered at 3 monkies and cheers, rock down to city hunter to watch some gsl, then off the PBH to drink some more

Biggest problem seems like it would be finding a bar that lets us put SC2 on... I don't really know anywhere that's a likely place.

Which is why I originally made the post. I am excellent friends with the owner of a very nice bar here so it would have been perfect.

Sounds like a great idea man, I don't think I would be able to get to Newcastle though. I'm turning 18 at the end of the year and I've been thinking of going out with some mates to a Barcraft. If anything happens in Sydney, I'll be there!

Best of luck with the Newcastle event though.

Also, surely there is a market for a Starcraft themed bar in Sydney, like as a regular thing.

I call for Barcraft in the Mana Bar in Fortitude Valley!!!
Someone force Yahtzee to do this!

Btw you guys all know about the Mana bar right? Its a bar co-owned by Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw (Zero Punctuation) where you can play video games.
I'm pretty sure they've got one in Melbourne too.

if we had a few quiet drinks @ a CH venue which we brought there (you didnt sell them to us) would that be illegal??

I dont think it is ...

if CH is cool with this we could just have the drinks & GSL finals night there.

fairly sure you need a liquor license to have alcohol consumed at your venue even if they business isnt serving it (e.g. BYO)

barcraft would be be pretty cool from sydney ^^ could be a thing to have something for gsl finals then people would more likely go to newcastle, sydney or a third agreed place so that we can get sufficent numbers and so forth.

I would goto this.... someone needs to send ben the link about what barcraft is so he can organise some serious SC2 nights for GSL finals/MLG/Dreamhack, **** it, lets just make an SC2 Bar in brisbane! **** yeah!
