You might get... chinese rank farmers! lol they might be difficult to beat. I mean, there's probably someone selling a grandmasters account with all the portraits right now! If so, those guys might be just as or more hardcore than koreans.
I wonder how will they change the Russian subscription model.
The answer to that question is in the OP, you still connect to the Russian node, so the subscription method is still active. The ladder itself will be the EU ladder.
what's the ping like to the taiwanese server? it doesn't matter if the accounts are linked if we get a shitty ping to TW; it'd be better to purchase a KR account in that sense.
What really surprises me is that Taiwan actually has more accounts than all of SEA combined.
It would be sweet if we got merged with korea and taiwan, or maybe they might merge china and SEA, but Korea seems closer, but it seems like it's bound to happen after a few seasons. Merging with kr would be cool.Atleast I'll have an excuse for my lower league placement
I like my SEA account though, nice latency to sg, and the frequency of known people I meet on the ladder is actually nice, but I can understand how it can frustrate people on higher skills, when you keep meeting the same guy again and again...or worse off if your mmr is too high you can never find a match or none at that skill is online.
Wonder how this will affect latency..will you still communicate with your server, then your server talks to the other server, and that is then sent to the other guy..?
Edit:Just read dels post on the servers....a merge wont probably happen then.
Think of it this way, SEA is already a linked server having people from Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Bruinei, others from SEA as well as the Aussie and NZies.
The thing we have in common is that we all mostly understand English.
I would say the SEA community is small yet powerful!
A cool idea i thought of would be a cross-platform in between servers
One Battle.net account that can play/chat with other servers on custom games.
But when you search for games on ladder, you can only compete with people within the same server.
In other words, one global community, multiple ladder

I'm no techie but wouldn't that require a connection so manly even God himself trembles?
