Match Check-In System

All players must visit the official Red Bull eSports/NVIDIA GeForce eSports Qualifier Home prior to the start of each match and use the check-in feature at the top of the website. To check-in players should log into the CEVO website and press the "Check-In" button in the toolbar. After check-in, a match lobby will open for communication with your opponent. Checking in to the website before your match is required for all players before every match. Players who do not check-in will not be able to report their results on the website, and may be issued a forfeit loss.

Event Format

The Red Bull Battle Grounds Global SC2 Qualifiers are 4 RUSH style single elimination bo3 (finals bo5) bracket qualifiers with room for a maximum of 256 players per bracket. These four qualifiers will take place throughout the following weeks, as detailed below.

NOTE: Matches will be played back-to-back and teams that register, should be prepared to play the bracket from start-to-finish, regardless of any listed match times.



Map Pool & Pick/Ban System

Maps for the Global Online Qualifier will mirror the WCS America season 3 map pool and take place on the North American StarCraft II Battle.net server.

All matches will be played as a bo3 series. The first game of the match will be played on the assigned map for that round as shown on the event brackets. In Game 2, the player designated as the AWAY team will ban one of the remaining maps from the map pool. The player designated as the HOME team will then ban one of the remaining maps. After each player has banned a map, the losing player from Game #1 will select one of the remaining maps to be played in Game #2. After game 2 is complete, and if Game #3 is necessary, the player who won Game #2 will ban one of the remaining maps before the losing player from Game #2 two selects the map to be played in the final game.



Match Settings

Category: Melee
Mode: 1v1 (Best of Three)
Game Speed: Faster
Observers: Observers are prohibited
Race: The same race must be used throughout the tournament

Player Drops: If a player disconnects in the first 5 minutes of a match, and there has been no contact between opponents, the game is to be re-hosted.


NOTE: It is the responsibility of both players to verify that the match settings are correct prior to beginning their match. Once a match has started, players may not restart the game due to incorrect match Settings, unless both players agree to do so.

Prizes

The winner of each Global Online Qualifier Bracket will be invited to compete against the other bracket winners in an online Best-of-Five semifinals on November 3, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. PT. The semifinal winners will play a Best-of-Seven finals immediately following their matches. If a player cannot make the Online Global Qualifier Finals, the next eligible player from that winner’s bracket will be invited to replace them. The prize pool for the Red Bull Battle Grounds Global Online Qualifier Finals is as follows:



1st - $800, Entry into Red Bull Battle Grounds with all-expenses paid trip to New York City, NY.

2nd - $400

3rd/4th - $200



Participation Restrictions

Players who are 18 years of age and possess at least a Diamond 1 v 1 rank on Battle.net will be permitted to participate in this event. Any player that is found to have circumvented these participation restrictions will be disqualified and will NOT receive a prize.

well its an 18+ venue which means youd need your guardian (or a guardian) to be with you on site, not just a permission slip
