Regardless of what he wants to play as (and i've been in 20 bsg tournaments now?) i've always been told you play the race your ladder shows. In this case his was Random, he should be playing random as his race. TheRested who is a random player in the BSG plays as Random for his race without issue.
Asrath's last BSG she was doing a similar situation came up and this was the ruling, play the race your ladder is. You can only then switch to the race you play once your icon has changed in your ladder.
There have also been issues in the early days of me playing BSG where a person wanted to play protoss, but his icon was something else, the player was told to be the current race he was for that as well... i can't remember names i just remember the situation unfolding, so this last paragraph is just words i guess?
Ryze has now won two in a row...(has only done two BSG's) the only other person i know who's won 2 in a row is Bluey, who've none of us has seen since.
Yes, I know that if you Random, you Random. However, again, last week he played Zerg and there was no issue. Once I had that cleared up, I decided not to press further.
Portraits can be very misleading, especially if you've had enough games. Portraits that come from the EXP earned to me means jack cause I can just go play a bunch of Team Games and then roll around with a Kerrigan portrait no?
And I'm pretty sure Reyze and Bluey are not the only guys who have won two (or even more) BSG Opens. Back to back, not to sure but I do recall some players winning back to back. Might need to look into that.
Ultimately, my decision, my responsibility.

To be honest, it's not really that conclusive, however it does seem like someone else is playing on it. And whoever that someone else is, is the one playing in the Opens.

That's because I personally had Shockwave look at it and he found it was inconclusive so I didn't see a point in further discussing it around then.
I looked at it, it was mind boggling and I was very skeptical. Once I had questioned him about why he goes Random, I put it as circumstantial.
Possibility of someone else playing has come up but because it is difficult at times to be sure that it is indeed someone else without proper and full analysis (we're talking about Pros analysing a 1080p long page of replays). And given the time frame, I, and only I, can say it would not have no effect except in the future.
Good to know it was brought up and settled, somewhat.
Again, I can only say I take sole responsibility.

Some events could not have been avoided. It is unfortunate but never the less happened.
Again, I take sole responsibility.
EDIT: I would also like to add that while APM can be used as an indicator or a warning sign, please do not, AT ALL COST just make a complaint/report based on APM. It is highly flimsy. In fact, it is so flimsy my dead grandfather who is six feet under could possibly fart and blow it around the world a kazillion times over. Seriously, do not just use APM as a reason. As a indicator or warning sign, go ahead. Anything more and I (and most likely I) will only give you a fraction of the attention actually required.
