Now that we have all settled and excited about HOTS, it's time for our Funday Series to return!

Season 2 is about to begin.

2v2 tournament

Our first Funday games set will be the 2v2 tournament .
We are looking for a minimum of 8 teams to kick off for some fun and laughter.

When : 6 April, Saturday
Time : 5pm SGT 8pm AEDT 10pm NZ
Deadline for entries : 5 April, Friday

Important information!!

Each team pair should consist of a player from B/S/G/P and D/M/GM leagues.
Limited spaces will be opened to non-mGG members on a first come first served basis.
Each round will be a BO1 except for the semi finals and finals. Map pool details will be posted later.
All interested teams must post their interest, team information in this thread and/or contact the Funday series admins (in game or via pm) : mGGThoth and mGGNemesis
Any interested casters, please contact either admins as well

we going off leagues in hots or wol? havent done my placements yet but guarunteed that I dont get diamond off my 5 placements :P

We will be using leagues from hots. If you were diamond in wol but plat or lower in hots, it is ok.

However...
IF you were m/gm in wol but havent been placed in hots OR a BSG in hots, u still belong to category 2 (i.e. the d/m/gm category)

Yes you can

Exceptions for such team pairings can be made as long as you clear with either admins. E.g. Gold/Gold or Plat/Plat pairings may be allowed as long as you clear with either one of us.

However, pairs such as m/m, m/gm, gm/gms however are strictly not allowed.

If in doubt, just ask either one of us ^_^

I'll update every now and then the teams that are formed.

EDIT : to avoid hassle of having to reform teams if a player has been promoted, once the team is announced, it will be fixed. That is promotions within this period to diamond for example, will not require you to have to reform your teams and hunt for new teammates. More incentive to find your partners and confirm them now.

The maps for the Bo1 rounds (round 16 and 8) will all be on a pre-determined map, as will the first map of the Bo3 rounds, after that, in the Bo3 rounds it's loser picks, from the map pool I'm about to list.

Other important reminders :
Fun is the main feature for the day. So no BM and we expect good sportsmanship for the games. Things can never be truly fair as much as we have tried to even out the matchmaking in terms of the pairs as much as we could.
The usual 15 mins late wait time will be held before walkovers begin. Any team who is unable to play in the semis or finals might be replaced by a team from the previous bracket.
Last but not least, join the stream for the games to join the fun too
