The Masters Cup is a single elimination style tournament. $100 prize on offer to the winner, $35 2nd prize, $20 3rd. $175 prize pool*! There is also 600 power rank points up for grabs. This event is sponsored by Eddie, Silicon Sports, and sc2sea.com

SEA 'Power ranks'

SEA Power Ranks is a working title for the process we shall use to determine seeding. We shall be allocting points for placing in each Masters Cup. These are then added to a players career total points to work out our tournament seeds. Masters Cup is one of, if not the toughest event in our region, so points will be given from 1st to 16th place to reward those who finish highly, but might just fall short of the 1st-3rd cash prizes. It also serves to reward regular participation.

Points break down

1st - 100 points
2nd- 60
3rd - 40
4th - 20
5th-8th - 10
9th-16th - 5

(300 points total for a standard Masters Cup)

*Double points shall be given for International editions.

Points for placing will start from the Masters Cup on Sunday Dec 16.

Seeding will run for 12 months, then reset. At the years conclusion we shall run a special edition for the top yearly ranked players.

Purpose of this is to encourage player participation, and offer a small reward for those who fail to place, as every game is of a high level. Depending upon future donations/sponsorship this may continue or be replaced by some other sort of prize, eg hardware. It shall be trialed this Masters Cup, as always, feedback welcomed. The prize draw shall be done live on stream using http://www.random.org/. If the number generated, matches your randomly seeded number on challonge.com, you're the winner! (Except if you no showed and got walked over in the early rounds, then we'll redraw, as it is designed to reward participants)

Tournament Eligibility: You must be in Masters or Grand Masters League on any server. Lower players will be disqualified.

Rules and Regulations

· All results must be PMed to DevianT.811 or TAXanT.665 in-game.
· Players who are 15 or more minutes late will be disqualified, if a replacement cannot be fount their opponent will be given an automatic win.
· If any disconnects occur within the first two minutes of game-play, the match will be replayed. However if the disconnect occurs after two minutes of game-time, then it is up to the discretion of the referee to decide whether; A) the game is to be replayed, or B) player X/Y is to be awarded the win.
· Any disputes will be handled by the Admins after reviewing all associated replays.
· Any inappropriate behaviour will result in a disqualification.
· Players must have their own Sea account, playing on a friends is not allowed
. You are allowed to switch races
. If you are lucky enough to win two SEA Masters Cups in a row, you must take a break from the next SEA versions. Just so we can spread the wealth and glory around. International editions are exempt.
. Non SEA residents/international players can join every 3rd 'open' Masters Cup. The 2 beforehand and 2 following are just for SEA players to compete amongst themselves.

I've given it a lot more thought over the last 24 hours, and KingKong can play.

We will be altering the 2 wins in a row rule so that it is for SEA versions only.

Reasons for this are that in theory player x could win both SEA, sit out global, win SEA, repeat. This rule is designed to share the winning around in our small community.

In addition, international versions now have double ranking points up for grabs, and are harder to win, so all players should have access to these.

So KingKong can play in this Masters Cup, but must sit out the next SEA version.
